    Jeff Carter?

Scott, I've said this a million times and I will continue to say it for as long as I live ... Jeff Carter is the most fundamentally sound player I have ever seen. In his prime, Jeff was the complete package of superior knowledge, skill, and competitive composure. If I were to build the perfect...

    Jeff Carter?

Jeff has played in several events lately. I had the chance to speak with him for about an hour at The Ultimate 10 Ball event in Frisco back in April. He had just come out of a hill-hill match with Corey Deuel. So he can still bring it. In addition to the finals of the world 8 ball...

    Evacuating Pool Cues First

Mr. Fine, Don't believe the rumors you may have heard about me being aboard Noah's Ark. As usual, I showed up late and I was up the creek without a paddle. I did make a raft out of some Cuetecs that I found in a dumpster. If not for the courage of the fearless crew...

    Greatest of all time

I'll make the argument for Nick Varner. He's won so many world titles in just about every pocket billiards discipline - he won almost every pro event one year - and he can walk, talk, and shoot pool while chewing bubble gum. Can Efren do that?

    Any more pool "secrets"?

The secret is that there is no secret. Don't let anybody tell you or sell you something that claims to be one. The truth is that you have to work your asss off... remain in the learning process... and when given the opportunity to make excuses - take personal responsibility... and when you...

    Learning Safety Play

I agree. Most of the safety play that I teach comes from what I have learned, what I have seen in videos, and some of the outstanding posts made in this forum by SJM.

    Best Pro Stroke?

Back in the day, Jeff Carter was one of the smoothest of the smooth -he possessed a great stroke - phenomenal accuracy - and an awesome mental game. Jeff is by far the most fundamentally sound player I have ever seen, and his name deserves to be mentioned in this thread.

The Miz - Poetry in motion. Cowboy Jimmy Moore's slip stroke was phenomenal, and I also loved Pat Howey's stroke.
