    Ball overlaps with pictures

BC21, Nice diagram. So if you can see the contact point on the OB, just double the distance to the out side from that point to the center of the OB. PJ's diagram: Because of geometry, it doesn't work when the CB and OB are too close together. Have fun.

    JoeyA's Aiming System

It is very accurate as long as your shaft on the green line is parallel to the red line. No pivot required. if you miss the shot, it was that your green line wasn't parallel. It is a geometrically correct method. I called it CP2CP.

    Why Do Non-Users Care?

Yup, cut induced throw CIT will alter the geometrically correct angle (thinner) and must be compensated for with a different contact point a bit to the outside with a center CB hit.

Pivoting systems and their relationship to CTE

Dan White, Here's an example of how Ghost Ball and Double Distance aiming are related: Illustrations by Patrick Johnson. Notice the perceived length of the yellow line from the contact point to the center of the GB. It is the same distance from the CP to the center of the OB. Doubling the...

Pivoting systems and their relationship to CTE

If one can see the line going through the 12:00 and exiting at 6:00 like with the cue (stick aiming) and another line going from the center of the OB to the center of the OB, there will be an included angle except for the straight in shot - same line. One can learn where to offset the shaft/tip...

Pivoting systems and their relationship to CTE

The diagram is at the same bridge distance for all shots and was why I studied how to shift the cue to the side the correct distance without having to vary that distance of the bridge behind the CB. All shots can be made with the correct cue tip/shaft/cue PARALLEL shift to the side pre-pivot...

Pivoting systems and their relationship to CTE

I like the explanation of how to find the contact point From above the OB, look at the point that is closest to the pocket/target - that is 12:00 Oclock and the contact point is 6:00 Oclock. CTE with tip offset, bridge distance and pivot systems are useful for those that can't find the 6:00...
