    Ebay ivory bans

You can sell ivory cues on Ebay. You just can not mention Ivory. They have a search engine looking for the word ivory. If you say 36 genuine white inlays the cue will not be pulled. These are legal issues moving forward and ebay don't want to get involved with Federal Law Suits. It is...

    Tascarella ring

Brown can not be matched unless you have material from the same lot run. It is not the CM's fault. All you can do is try to match as best you can. I have 4 different browns in stock and can get close on a lot but matching perfect is not going to happen without luck. If Pete will not do other...

    Leather wraps...Where do I start

CR, As a start, you need to have cue without runout and wraps with consistant thickness. Without those two things it is a very tedious undertaking. The cutting of the tight tolerance wrap Goove is up to you but you can't go wrong buying your wraps from Martin at Superior Cues. JMO You need...

    weight verse energy transfer

El CF, It's OK to call me out if it makes you feel warm a fuzzy. As I said, why post and then run away if you don't have time. What did you say your name was? Really? How do battery chargers blow up? Do they explode and turn into missile projectiles. What is your anonymous theory on...

    weight verse energy transfer

ElCFrio, Re read the OPs question. It was directed at Cue weights and differences concerning different players. Conservation and transfer of energy are relevant to any pool shot but why do you make a statement and then run away. If you don't have the time to do so, why engage in the first...

    weight verse energy transfer

It totally depends on the ability of the player. F=MA. Force equals mass times acceptation is the model. If a player has the ability to put a big move on a cue ball with a potential to reach 30 mph for example, he wants a light cue around 17 oz. Give or take. Light cues can accelerate...

    abalone help

Mark, Duke of Pearl in Ca. I think his slabs are .070 thick. Yes carbide end mills work just fine. I use Envirotap cutting fluid on the table from Enco - no oil and Environmentally safe. Don't drop them on concrete, they break like glass. I learned the hard way. LOL Good luck, Rick

Maple shafts dryed by age VS dryed by heat?

Unless you are harvesting your own wood, maple is vacuum kiln dried before it is planned square and true. That is why maple planks are so straight. Without that process they would be twisted.

    Phenolic Inserts?

XX is a fiberglass type material and the LE is like Bakelite / Phoenlic I believe. The XX will destroy your wood bandsaw blade stat. Very hard material.

    Phenolic Inserts?

Joey, Just for the record, the Garolite LE rod is a totally different material code than the Garolite LE tube. Attlas Fiber the parent company of Atlas Billiards sells it to McMaster Carr. The rod is much denser and it machines and threads way better than the tube. I used the tube for a...

installing chuck jaws on a cue companion

I have installed new on a cue companion that I did over 5000 tip jobs on. It is a delicate job but you just need a little patience. I have been using the big bore unique chuck as a back chuck for over 8 years and it is still working perfect. 65.00 is cheap for a custom engineered spring load...
