Cocoa, If you drill the pin out you will exceed the heat required in the blind hole to melt the glue very fast. I do it both ways drilling with brass and heat with harder materials. I know I have a lot of critic wise guys but my method starts the heat process at 200 degrees and ramps up...

Royce, If you use a 30 amp charger in 60 amp boost mode the fusible link is delayed. The circuit bimetal fuse is beefer in that mode setting. I should have mentioned that in my first post, thanks for bring it up. It don't much time to create heat in a small pin.:thumbup: Rick

Dave, Don't knock it if you have not tried it. You could use a welding machine also to create the heat. Dave, I used to cut steel underwater with 600 amps DC for 30 years without incident, I think I got this under control. Rick

Go to Home Depot and buy a package of Stanley Carbide utility blades. Pack of five is about 5 bucks. Makes a huge difference and stay very sharp very long time. Good luck, Rick

Plastic or fiber rings are more dense than veneer and with the veneer rings there is a grain difference that is not as visually consistent as you view the ring as you rotate the cue. People who use fiber and plastic rings are looking for color consistency and are not interested in your negative...

JC, They have all the colors. I talked John and Eric into getting the sheets to match the colored rings 3 years ago so billets match rings and stitches perfectly. Before that Atlas did not carry the sheets and I used to get the white sheets from a guitar place and it did not match perfectly...

Buy a white plastic sheet from them a make your own ring. The .030 sheets are the exact same material. Just put it between two pieces of wood a drill your .625 hole then cut the OD oversize by hand.
