Earl's 5 US Opens vs Shane's 5 US Opens: Who's was more difficult?

Tough call. Earl's run was over a 16 year period which is pretty impressive. Shane's run includes a threepeat which is amazing. Both are impressive in their own ways. I'll be honest, I just can't pick

    The true cost of hustling

I'm not going to make any excuses for them, but if getting your beaten doesn't light a fire in you pool might not be the game for you. You can blame the cheapskate lock artists all you want, but if they quit after playing them they would quit eventually anyway.

    Dickie Neighbors/Davis blank

Richard Neighbors/Davis blank cue Coco points into nice birdseye maple with black, orange, green and natural veneers SS joint with a G10 radial pin One of his original shafts with a Sniper tip and a 314-2 with an Ultraskin medium I think. Both with matching ring work. The 314-2 shaft has a...

Another "help me buy my pool table" thread...

If I was in your shoes and had the space for a table I would get a 9' Diamond. This is of course just my opinion, but that is the table that I want. You're going to spend a decent amount of money on the table, set up and probably balls, light etc. You add that up with the fact that you are...

    Playing the ghost

I might give that a try simply because it's a pain to rack 7 ball without a template. I'm going to race the ghost without a template just because I'm doing this to get ready to get back into playing tournaments

    Playing the ghost

That's what I'm going to do next, but I was playing 5 ahead and not a race to five. The ghost never got better than two ahead. I'm still going to go ahead and extend it to seven ahead before moving to nine ball

Getting back into the swing of things

Two and a half years ago I was regularly beating the 9 ball ghost, I was cashing in regional tournaments and was progressing very quick. I was doing all of this on 2-3 days of practice at best. Work decided they needed me more than I needed a life outside of work. Suddenly I had zero time for...

    Playing the ghost

A lot of the games I lost were completely from lack of focus. That was really getting me for the first hour when it was going from +2 for the ghost and +2 for me. I then couldn't close the door where I would get to +4 and lose. This is definitely how I'm going to be practicing for a while

    Playing the ghost

9 foot Diamond. Before I took a year and half break because of work I was beating the 9 ball ghost on a 9 foot Diamond and taking BiH less than half the time on some sets. That was in races to 7. Playing an ahead set is much more of a grind

    Playing the ghost

Finally I've gotten a work schedule that allows me to practice. Since I've come back I've only had time to play at best two days a week. For the last few months I've only played 1 day a week. For some reason I've had some serious focus issues lately which is why I decided to race the ghost...

    Another USPS horror story

I recently had a Gilbert made. USPS left it on my neighbors porch. When he walked over to my house to give it to me I was just as grateful as I was in shock.

Jayson Shaw victim or defeated foe

Considering that he calls the ten about two seconds before shooting it I don't think I watched the wrong video. That is unless there is a rule stating that the first ball you call is the one you have to shoot.

Jayson Shaw victim or defeated foe

The problem is he didn't cheat. He called the ten. I've listened to the tape over a dozen times. I had to use a headset and turn the volume all the way up to hear it. Right before he got down on the shot he called the ten.

Jayson Shaw victim or defeated foe

I watched a video of it today. I had ear buds in with the volume turned all the way up and I actually caught something. I went back and press one of the buds in my ear. I heard Earl call the ten a few seconds before the shot. I went over it several times and he clearly said ten *edit* Here...

    are Kamui tips any good?

I've never liked them but I know a lot that love them. The only piece of advice I can give regarding tips is when you find a tip that you love I highly suggest you stick with it. You'll save a ton of money in the long run. I've stick with Sniper tips for years. Over that time I've tried a lot...

    Moori J Tip

Day 3 of using the tip and I will still say that it's an awesome tip to use. I've put in a solid 12 hours of play on it and it still holds chalk like a brand new tip. The hit is still great. At this time I'll give the opinion that if you lover Sniper tips, but have issues with glazing this is...

    Dreaming about Pool

I would put myself to sleep thinking about the break or making my way through a layout. I've never dreamt about it and now that I think about it I find it incredibly odd. When I worked at a pool hall I slept every other day. On the days I did sleep I would wake up to be at the pool hall when...
