    Illustration of BHE....

Unfortunately, I don't have the means to produce such a video, but I assure you that that is exactly the way I shoot a good number of inside english shots where moving the cue ball 2 rails and out is the desired outcome. To pull the shot off with any consistency it's necessary to have the speed...

    Illustration of BHE....

Actually, John, there are times when that is EXACTLY the way I aim those shots. I aim them that way, and stroke so as to produce the ball potting desired along with the shape hoped for. Is it consistent?? I sure wish it was for me... Flex

Oh, how I wish you were correct. BHE is often the easiest way to spin the rock, not always, but often.

    Illustration of BHE....

It's invaluable because you will find you have a number of options that you didn't have before, and there are times when you are playing by feel, and your mind might just be a bit muddled (sure does happen to me) and if you are comfortable with that way of shooting with BHE it could well get you...

    Illustration of BHE....

What I suggest is that you go to the table and set up a simple cut shot, where the object ball is about 1 diamond from the corner pocket, and you have about a 15 degree cut shot and the cue ball is about a diamond away from the object ball, and then just frickin' experiment away with the stuff...

    Illustration of BHE....

I use BHE on some shots. It doesn't matter if the shaft is an LD shaft, ala OB-1 or Predator or others. It's all about knowing how each specific shaft plays. Plus, when slowing down the shot, as is often necessary, the compensation for swerve and so on can be a bear. Plus the effects of cue ball...

    Action in Frederick, MD?

Just heard from Bamacues that they moved to the other end of the shopping center. He told me he was there playing yesterday. Great news! Flex

    Action in Frederick, MD?

Glad to hear it's not gone out of business. When I went by there yesterday, it looked (from my car, not up close) like it was empty inside and was closed definitively... Gonna PM Bamacues

    Action in Frederick, MD?

No, I don't live in Frederick; I'm out near the Windy City. Just get to this area pretty often. I know where to find action in the general area, not that I'm looking for it. Actually, I'm not. I can get action anytime, as I'm not much of a player. Getting a good game is another thing. When I...

who do you think was the best full-cue jumper..??

Danny Green seems to like to do stuff like that. One time I was at Hagerstown Billiards playing some fellow for fun and he hooked me and I tried to jump out of it, the cue ball was probably less than half a balls width from the blocker, and although I got the cue ball up and over the blocker...

    Action in Frederick, MD?

Yesterday, I was in Frederick looking for a bite to eat, and noticed the All Star Billiards sign and tried to find it. I did find the entrance, but apparently it's gone out of business. And unexpectedly, in an adjacent shopping center I came across the Hard Times Cafe and Cue and went in to...

Who makes a low deflection shaft that isn't laminated?

Can't blame me for asking! I have an OB-1, plays just fine, however the feel and sound of it don't turn me on, plus it's less powerful than the shaft I usually play with now, an 11 mm tipped, long pro tapered, short ferruled one. It plays just fine, and feels and sounds good too. One never...

Who makes a low deflection shaft that isn't laminated?

Will it retain that great pingy sound after the modification? Can he modifiy an existing shaft and retain everything related to feel and sound but lower the cue ball squirt/deflection?

Who makes a low deflection shaft that isn't laminated?

Have you found the way for a shaft that has been modified the way you suggest to have the same or similar feel and hit as an unmodified shaft? Flex

    CTE Aiming Video

Just a second, Pat. I'm a "systems user" and I make adjustments to make this stuff work. And I know what I do and what adjustments I make. They are conscious and voluntary, and not feel-based. Part of the problem with adjustments is that a variation of one's stroke can screw things up, and big...

    CTE Aiming Video

Ah, but that's the Holy Grail of the CTE systems... The adjustments!! BTW, I've developed a few of these systems for my own use, but don't share them. Too complicated to try to explain how to come up with a workable angle using the cue stick to estimate the angle, then, based upon that...
