About 3 years ago I started limiting my collecting to just cue makers from my home state - Texas. Since then I have realized just how many great cue builders (past and present) that have graced the Lone Star state with their work! So many cues and so little time (and money...grin).

I had a chance to buy an early 70's ginacue - rosewood merry widow with 3 full shafts (2 full 13mm) for 650 bucks in 1990. Unfortunately, I was in college at the time and could not spare the money.

I think this is a great idea. It will add to the entertainment value of the league in the fact that it will give everyone something else to moan and complain about. The "sandbagging" issue was getting a bit long in the tooth. Now, everyone can complain and/or run down the APA on another subject.

I always thought that if you played winner break and required that the first shot right after the break be a push the game of 9 ball would be a whole lot more interesting. Also, no jump cues allowed under the format. IMHO
