Who is your LEAST favorite player to watch?

Slow players who don't play that good bother me. Slow players who play great I don't mind. Buddy used to amble around the table at a snail's pace, line up the shot, take another look or two and finally get down on the ball and stay down for a while. He would take three or four (or five) leisurely practice strokes and then hit one more perfect pool shot. I loved watching him play! No one ever hit the cue ball any more cleanly and played more precise position, this side of Lassiter and Reyes. Buddy was the original pool shooting machine. He wore down all his opponents. Buddy also had the most solid stance this side of Ceuelmans.

Least favorite to watch

Kid Delicious gets the prize for the slowest player. Corey calls him "The Turtle". There is no one, I mean no one as slow.

i forgot about ralf souquet. but i respect his game and character a lot, so i felt bad about putting him on my list. he pays so much attention to details, even in preparation for matches that i dont get as bothered by his slow playing. but some players.. especially jerky strokes and jumping back up and down. ralf will think it through before he gets down to shoot. whereas charlie williams teases u and makes u think that he's gonna shoot, then nope, does the same thing 5 times moer

Soquet taking three trips around the table with a three ball easy stop-stop runout makes me watch another table at the Open or DCC and Archer picking lint to slow play on purpose. Oh I forgot one Charlie the eye roller Williams.--Leonard

I would have to say Charlie Williams.

I can't stand to watch him do 1000 quick practice strokes/ jump up off the shot 3-4 times each and every shot.

Yep and a double-yep!!!

I'm little surprised no one has mentioned Mika yet. ;-)

That said, I really love to watch him play when things are going his way.

i don't like the way he dips his tip every time he practice strokes. he's a little jerkish in the interviews afterwards too. to be honest he seemed standoffish when i saw him in person

Jeremy Jones will drive you crazy with his constant wiping of the cue, his hands, etc. before every shot. I watched 5 minutes of replay and it took an hour.

I had no problem with Danny. I beat him twice in a Joss Tour Final when he got skinny in 2000. Then later in a Joss event beat him in the early rounds when he was getting bigger by the day.

I woulld say if he plays slow it is in fast motion. He does alot of movin to get the job done.

So slow is the thing we do not like right ?

OK how many of you peeps have played a guy in florida they call

Turtle Al !!!

Al Koklus is the name. Correct me if my spelling is off.

Ralf Souquet. Funny thing is, he's my favorite player when it comes to a game like 8-ball. He is truly a technician of the game. I really like what he does and how he composes run outs, I just don't like how LONG it takes him to do it. He's a very slow player. But methodical. That said, he's one of my least favorite to watch, yet one of my favorite to analyze and study.
