The bar boxes around my area are all $1.50/game. We only have one room in town and the rates are about $7 or $8 an hour I think unless you want to play on the diamond 9 footer, that will cost you $10/hour. I spend most of my time on my home table, time and beer are free.

It was before my time but I think "The Rack" in Michigan should be on this list. There was a thread about it on here somewhere and it seemed like that was the place to be in the 70's for the money games.

Well I can say thw town I live in has had a Thursday night, $20 entry tournament running for the last 10+ years. The tournament itself is structured much like you said here with the same 10 guys taking turns keeping the money. It probably took me about 3 years before I was able to place in one...

I can't help you on the value but could you post a picture of the cue. I am curious to see what this cue would look like.
