    Table (Play) Rates

The bar boxes around my area are all $1.50/game. We only have one room in town and the rates are about $7 or $8 an hour I think unless you want to play on the diamond 9 footer, that will cost you $10/hour. I spend most of my time on my home table, time and beer are free.

Jet Blue let me carry my 2 by 4 Instroke leather case

I did this flying across the country and when I got my bag it had been opened. All the protective wrap on my cues was gone and there was a new dent in the shaft, at least the cues were still there I guess. Now I just ship my cues to my destination with purolator or UPS. The last few hotels I...

    Most Influential Pool Rooms???

It was before my time but I think "The Rack" in Michigan should be on this list. There was a thread about it on here somewhere and it seemed like that was the place to be in the 70's for the money games.

Picked this up at thrift store for $10

If you ever get a chance to try it, its a great game to play. My buddy and I used to play it so much that we would each hit 2 or 3 balls one rail right into the hole before we could decide who went first. I have been looking to buy one for a long time but they seem to be hard to come by these...

Picked this up at thrift store for $10

I love bumper pool. A friend of mine used to have one and that was all we did as kids. I came across one similar to this one of our local classifieds a couple weeks ago, by the time I went to look at it the guy had already sold it for $25. What a disapointment. :frown: Super as far as the rules...

Are All Local Tournaments Like Funeral Marches?

Well I can say thw town I live in has had a Thursday night, $20 entry tournament running for the last 10+ years. The tournament itself is structured much like you said here with the same 10 guys taking turns keeping the money. It probably took me about 3 years before I was able to place in one...

    Group discussion on The Diamond

Well my name is Marty Gallaway, you should find me on a couple of the lists you have. Elio and Pod both know me and how I play so you can get a good gauge from them. I will get you the other players names when I know who will be joining me. Thanks for the reply.
