You did real good for a slate table! Sure, its gonna take some work to get it right but, your saving a bundle of dough! Let us know how it turns out.

yes i thought it was a good deal

thanks for the comment here is pic. with cloth . hope to finish up tommow
rails and skirts . was not sure about metal frame but for that price could not pass on it. notice that i pulled a string end to end to line up frame.
frame was in line. installed slate used playing cards to adjust to level.
here is pic with cloth. it is dead level end to end , side to side.
pulled cloth tight as i could.

put rails on measured out great dead on 44 x 88 and square to. yes it is 8 ft. was not sure about the u23 cushions. i was very surprised it has a fast roll, and good rebound. it is well worth a recover later . it is a home rec.
table so the pockets are 4 3/4 . when i recover will use over size faceings
to bring down to 4 1/2 with no problem. here is pic. with rails. will install
drop pockets and skirts later to day.

Yeowsa! Its looking great. Looks like you know what your doing. Whats that tan filler & the white stuff in the seams? Bondo?

Looks amazing so far!

About two years ago I was shopping at one of those thrift stores, in the appliance section there was a big white looking thing with an apple logo on it. Turned out to be a perfectly working 2 month old 24" IMAC. I hastily bought it for 199.00. I got home and was dissapointed to find out it had a password on it, I randomly typed in "password" and it worked! I sold it a week or so later for 1700.00 ... I Love thrift shops!

finished it to day

thanks to every one for all the postive comments. i have helped my friends
with there tables over the years. and i have owned 8 or 10 tables.i have redone a few . my day job is auto body repair and paint. yes that is bondo
