Who played 9ball... before Texas Express rules was the norm?

In the 70's and 80's he was tough to beat especially on the bar table with the big ball.

The most impressive pool playing that you have ever witnessed?

I saw Bill Mielke playing Woody Gumphreys 8 ahead for 1K, Woodey had 3 games and Bill won the game and ran 10 racks in a row on a bar table with the big ball, that was pretty impressive, that was around 1979 or 1980.

Dennis calls Shane out for 20k

2 out of 3 sets of 8 or 10 ahead, with winner breaks, would be a better way to go.

Dennis calls Shane out for 20k

As much as I like Dennis' game, I would take SVB, in 9 or 10 ball, winner breaks, 10 ahead for the cheese.

Do you think Shane regrets the final shot or the position he pushed out to most?

In hindsight, yes playing safe would've been better.

    ★ world 9 ball championship ★ qatar★

Loser breaking absolutely takes away from the excitement of the game and slows it down to a crawl, I think it also makes for more safety play, which doesn't help. I realize kicking and safety play is a big part of the game. I don't think the loser breaks scenario would be good for TV if that...

If you could have a plain jane player from any maker...?

I have a Bert Schrager that I got from him new ($80.00 w/ivory ferrule) in the late 70's that plays pretty good. :D

Refusing to adjust weight when you're ahead...bad form or not?

There are way to many variables to take into account, especially playing a race. The guy is under no obligation whatsoever to adjust. They made the game and if someone doesn't like it they can quit. Where do you go from the 7 ball, the 7 and the breaks or the 6 ball, that is a ton of weight...
