Samsari vs phenolic
I just had my G-10 phenolic replaced with the Samsari break tip. It is the first time that I can say that I can have my cake (speed & power) & eat it too (control). Chalking is much less tedious too.
sledgehammer
I bought one from Seyberts supposedly before McDermott took over the patent. Does that mean that you made it? I'm quite satisfied with it-just wondered.
studying the Martha's Vineyard natives
I suspect that all of you are correct. I notice that there are a number of "healthclubs" there. If I pull out my chalk to do deadlifts, they will probably arrest me for disorderly conduct. They probably use mink lined straps & prohibit sweating. I don't...
Our camper & monster truck will permit us to vacation with the Clintons & Obama for $50 per day. Kayaking, fishing, hiking, & the beach are supposed to be great. Access to Harvard & NYC nearby.

runs as measure of progress
How long should one be playing before it is reasonable to expect to run a rack, 2 racks...
How does one measure progress in terms of runs?
very helpful
The consistency of the study & your experience is really reassuring. It also supports the set, pause, follow through instruction. It is most observable in watching Allison Fischer. The real difficulty is getting it sufficiently hard wired into the brain so that the process becomes...
"quiet eye"
What is the "quite eye?" My understanding is that during the "set" we focus on the CB, during the "pause" we move our focus to the OB for the stroke including follow through.
Please define "quiet eye." Caution: my game is in its infancy.
Sang Lee container
I appreciate yur humor, but why does Sang Lee provide a container & caution that the chalk should be kept inside with a little bag of silicon? to prevent it from drying out?
Obviously, chalk is cheaper if purchased in larger quantities. However, if it has a limited shelf life then such purchases would be counter-productive.
What is the shelf life of chalk before it begins to lose its effectiveness?
There is a great deal of discussion on here about high runs. I'm wondering if it is possible to use the number of balls run as a measure of progress. For example what would be a reasonable expectation after 1 year, 2 years, 3 years?
