    Would you use... ?

Exactly- everyone need to learn to handle it. If you practice alone usually ppl wear it to get not disturbed by outer circumstances. Maybe also to block out sth what teasing them etc.- but i m sure, that everyone deep inside knows, that they have to learn to deal with it.... but instead of...

Practice Halfball Shots Using Fractional Aiming With a Road Map

Had 2 students a few ago-- strong 100 ball runners- so potting not really a problem for those young guns, lol. Showed them the half ball stuff (when cb/ob pointing to middle foot rail diamond and ob on the 40 line). Both really appreciated it- just for these *pressure moments* this is a nice...

Mental Game - (long) The role of aiming systems in peak performance.

Nice words full of iron my friend! All you ve written are based what Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi and Nideffer came out with, when they started to work on studying the "Flow" and reaching peak performance and how to reach it. Later on imo Ravizza went to another stage using this stuff- and puttin it...

Practice Halfball Shots Using Fractional Aiming With a Road Map

While i m gettin myself out of the well known *cyber war about aiming*- I ll get my 2 cents about the "half-ball topic" from my expirience. As my eyes gettin worse and worse- i tried to compensate it however- with which method ever, to still have some fun at the table. And ofc while...

Hitting 1/2 Tip to the Left on Center Ball Shots, Should I Fix My Stroke or Adapt?

Let someone video you from the front and back- should be easy to see, if you pull your cue not straight back. Had several students with this issue. This is tough to fix on your own-

    Your best playing production cue

Mezz and Pechauer. Extremeley high quality standard. Absolutley Top Notch stuff! Stamboulini ( end of 80 s) was also a fine cue.

    Busti talks about aiming

Well, to discuss how you can eliminate some "gearing, throw" effects is one thing. But I personally recommend to each of my students that they should practice *pure potting* without any english- especially also, to show em, that a good "pocket speed" is the key- so if you aim at center pocket...

    Interesting blind aiming demo

For sure one of the toughest stuff in pool-- hittin the cueball where you want (or where you think you hit it, lol)- and to blindly trust your stroke. Not hitting cueball where you think you really hit it.....and not really trusting your stroke are for very sure two of the greatest quests to...

    starting strong- ?

Well written! "Being comfortable being uncomfortable" is the key- every human is individual and so he (or maybe with help of another person, who is expirienced and know this human really well) has to find his way to manage the moment. Being a bit nervous imo a good thing. This helps to focus-...

The never ending quest for the perfect cue (long, boring rant).

ofc it s true-- but i can just speak for myself. I ve had "a few cues" in the last decades (cough). But i would lie if i would say, that i feel comfy with any other cue as i am with my *normal* player- and yes: in this direction i am a "pussy". Best cue ever played in this setup. Some things...

How do you rest and recover effectively in short breaks?

    Excellent "My Lady" :-)

How important is the cue for beginner-novice level?

Nailed it--- a "normal well manufactured" cue with a LD shaft is the way. And thx god this is nowadays available for 300 bucks and below (roundabout). To start with regular shafts- and then start years later with LD is a pain in the ass and can be a nightmare :-)

    European Open (9-ball) Pool Championships

Ok- now i get your point mate-- think i ve read too fast :-) to hold "some" kind of wildcards back is not a bad idea. Agree here. but i still think, they (the pros) have still to do their job and take care of planning.

    European Open (9-ball) Pool Championships

Well- seriously. I may understand what you meant- but if you are a professional, you have also have to do your job in direction to book your events as soon as possible. And first comes, first get it is imo very fair. If a pro would *fail* to book early enough....- then he failed to take care of...

Is there a demand for trained pool referees?

thx for the info- was just referring to some sports here in europe- like to see, that they get a benefit they deserve in these sports. great!

Is there a demand for trained pool referees?

same problem here in germany as well-- the referee progam itself is well done. The refs are extremley well educated. But the paying? it s a joke. I myself educated (long ago) also referees in the early 90 s--- but will never do this, or even the job again. To do this job 10-12 hours is...
