    Do you do this?

It all depends on what's needed for each particular shot, so it's constantly changing, and depends entirely on what needs to be done, to gain shape. But, sometimes it just feels good to let my stroke out and slam one.

Diamond tables have a new rail system?

I'm sure King Cobra, will post soon. I'm not sure there's anyone, who knows more about Diamonds than Glenn.

    Smithsonian Bender on Ebay

$%^@!!!!! I thought it was $7500 and thought, that's not a bad price, until I saw 75,000 in one of the posts and had to go back to the ebay post.

    Apa payback

After thinking about it a little more, I think I have vastly underestimated the number of players in my area.. With over 300 teams, it should be up around 2000, and possibly well above that.

Where to fix my Instroke 3x7 case with broken top pocket hatch?

Any shoe repair/leather worker, should be able to fix you up. I've taken a case to a saddle maker before, who was more than happy to fix it. Sorry, but I don't have any specific names.

    Apa payback

Mark, I really don't have any idea on exact figures on the number of players, but we do have 307 teams, if my addition is correct. Keep in mind that quite a few people play on several different teams, but I wouldn't be scared to guess that we have a total of around 1,000 players. The last...

    8 ball rule

Whether it's obvious or not, just call every shot and that will eliminate any questions.

    Apa payback

I am proud to be associated with the league I'm in... We have alot of the petty bickering that goes on, over sandbagging, highly-skilled players who don't belong in the league at all, basically pro-caliber players, but overall our LO does a great job. As far as the dollar amount of payback, it...

    Apa payback

Scott, I'm not naive enough to think, there won't be any bashing going on, but I just felt a need to make the post. I've always felt, with any type of business, that if a person does the hard work, gets the funding, makes sacrifices, etc... to get business/league/big tournement off the ground...

Congrats Dub, looks like you're in a decent league as well.

    Apa payback

With APA Nationals about to start, I wanted to post a thread about paybacks/rewards for a job well done. As we all know, many people on AZ, do not like the APA for various reasons, with some being well justified. Many of these complaints are skewed towards getting money in return, or the lack...

    Money in advance

If it's "only" $50, why would a customer get so worked up about it? If it's important enough to the customer to raise he$% about, then it's definitely important enough for the cuemaker to not deliver a product that's not fully paid for.... EVEN, if it's only some piddly amount of money. The...

APA Mini Mania worth the effort?

I "think", all mini tournaments are 100% payback.

    Sandbagging at APA National level

I completely agree with ya Mike, didn't mean to imply anything else and apologize if you thought so. If anyone intentionally slows down to "hustle" someone, whether it's during league, action, or anywhere.... That is cheating in my book. Yes, I know it happens in most sports, but that...

APA Mini Mania worth the effort?

Quite a few people around here, only go for the mini tournaments, whether their team qualifies or not. I think that should answer your question. I don't have any personal experience yet, but from what I understand, mini-tournaments are available 24-7 with the opportunity to make some decent cash.

    Etiquette question

I like this response. If it bothers you, just run-out and hand them the rack, but it doesn't bother me in the least.

    Advice needed

I would advise you to post some pics of the table, to allow the more knowledgable table folks have a look-see. But as another poster said, 2500 - 3000 is a fair price, if it's in good condition.

Can you own to many cues?

I know quite a few people, who simply buy cues as an investment. Don't we all wish, that we would have bought a Szamboti, Schick or Bushka, when they cost just a few hundred dollars? Heck, even a Schon bought 10 years and still in mint condition, is probably worth quite a bit more than it...
