First post - New Table and thanks to the forum

Now that is cool! Very nice and unique, I like the style  Is that a drawer below the top? Would surely be practical to hide all the little stuff there if it was

    SS360/2 vs OB Classic + ?

^ Since 9ballr brought the 314'3 up I must say that I agree with him. The 3rd gen 314 is a really good shaft and I have changed to using them exclusively lately. Got 3 of them, 2 stock at 12.75 and one 12.5mm that I customised to further match my preferred specifications with the taper and...

    SS360/2 vs OB Classic + ?

I have owned both SS360'2 and OB classic+ shafts and in my opinion the SS360 is far superior of the two. Better wood and build quality for sure and to me it played better  It was a little roughly finished when I received the shaft from Seyberts but after touching it up a bit and a decent...

New Mezz cue and Mezz customer service

^ They differ quite a bit between different models. My friend has an older model all ebony Mezz butt and it is very thin at the buttcap (30.7mm if memory serves), where as a sneaky I owned for a while was over a millimeter thicker at nearly 32mm. Doesnt sound like much but it feels totally...

Help me decide on a table size

I'd go with the 9' if I had the room for one  Buy the size you enjoy playing on the most. You are most likely going to play the most of your time at home practicing so make sure you can enjoy it as much as you possiby can

Finishing issues, white spots in wood grain.

Thank you for the helpful responses! After sanding down the piece again and following the given instructions I got a pristine finish on the same piece of wood.

Finishing issues, white spots in wood grain.

Umm, yes  Clearly there is a lot wrong in my process, any help is greatly appreciated :o

Finishing issues, white spots in wood grain.

So I have been making a few extensions out of different woods lately and have been having massive issues with finishing them. On some woods, for example Purpleheart and brown ebony every clear coat I have tried leaves small white imperfections on the clearcoat. As if the clear coat doesnt take...

Fibre Pad for Jacoby Hybrid Edge Shaft

They dont have a pad on from the factory and dont require one. The most common problem with a weird sound on hit is poor adhesion of tip to the ferrule or a delaminated tip. I'd have the tip changed first and if the sound persists then take a closer look at the ferrule itself. I changed the...

    Navigator tips

I recently bought a few of their Blue impact tips to see how they play. Put on a medium on a 314 shaft and I must say that I am positively surprised on how nice it is. Hit is difficult to compare to other tips as it is a bit different from most. Zan M may be the closest feelwise to the medium...

Can we be honest about cues?

Well said  Even though our taste is different in cues we clearly share the same appreciation to cues that match the players needs to perfection. I have no issues if someone likes to invest a few thousand in to a cue, even if they arent world class players. Let people enjoy the game in...

    Cyborg Cell break tip...opinions?

Wears down and leaves a trail on the cloth a lot like Taom, maybe even a bit worse in that regard :frown:

    Cyborg Cell break tip...opinions?

I'll try breaking a few racks in to the cloth tonight and provide you with an update on how it does

    Cyborg Cell break tip...opinions?

I use one on my jump cue. They are a lot like Taom tips, similiar feel and the material cuts about the same. They are really easy to jump with and hold chalk about the same as Taom does. My favourite jump tip by far, jumps as easy as SPC and has grip like Taom. I have only used my fiancees J/B...

Chalk test, pictures and thoughts on different chalks.

The Mezz chalk came in a week ago, the test results were 13 shots on 1st chalking and 15 on the second. It is somewhere in the middle of the pack as far performance goes. I love the magnetic bottom of it though, the clip that came with the chalk is great and I can see the benefit of having a...
