    T-Rails

The T-rails are vertically supported by the bolts not the slate. The strip of cloth is slid under the rail in the pic. As a DIYer I got away with murder because all the charts of rubber, rail thickness and angles did not show or account for this design. To be honest there is 75% study, 20% trial...

    T-Rails

The subrail angle is wrong for either profile but with 100 year old T-rails who knows what's right. Regardless, the K66 nose height is 1 3/16" while a piece of scrap K55 measured at 1 7/16". Sound familiar? That's why I ordered Super Speed. The pitch angle was improved too. BTW there are nails...

    T-Rails

I'm not a mechanic so lets not shame me for coming here. This is kinda long but I figured y'all needed a good laugh. I agreed to help a friend "recover" his boss's table. I get there and its too late to back out after I find out its a T-Rail of unknown origin. I told the boss he should have...

Moving Diamond Smart Table w/o Cart?

I've seen them moved with two short 6x6s bolted to furniture dolly so there is no pressure on the skirt.

    Stain on Simonis 860

If blood gets on the cloth use a small amount of hydrogen peroxide ... don't ask :frown:

Simonis pool table cloth is it good quality

I used Championship 30/30 for 3 years before going with Simonis 860 and then 860HR. It wears better than I thought it would but doesn't handle missed jumps as well as the Championship 30/30. A bolt of Championship 30/30 had a few misweaves (not bad) whereas the bolts of Simonis was perfect...

    Spot on felt

One Pool Hall owner in town swears by OxyClean but I haven't had the balls to try it. Hydrogen Peroxide gets rid of relatively fresh blood (don't ask) without leaving much of a mark. After a week you couldn't tell it was there.

    Steaight Cut Rails

I'm not a mechanic but ... Valleys and Dynamos are straight cut corner pockets with shallow shelf depth. Balls fall easier, game is over faster for the next customer to put his quarters in.

Guy that set my Diamonds up said to use hand sanitizer for black marks. Works.

Does Diamond publish any training or instructions for it's point leveling system?

Sounds like its time to make a video$ The starretts will cost more than the video.

    reusing cloth

I agree with fastone371 .. you've already got a crease to give you a line to pull to or maybe even past to get it tighter. Lucky for a DIYer! Just get the slates level and the rails square.

    Valley vs Dynamo Bar Table

I'm not a mechanic ... but at one time I had an older 8-foot Dynamo and an older 8-foot Valley in my hall. Dynamo was a POS compared to the way the Valley was built. A real mechanic could give you details. Also it had ~5-inch pockets where Valley was ~4 1/2. But this was in a commercial...

    Curious ... 8-Foot Diamonds

When I traveled for my day job I found a place in Fort Smith, Arkansas that had, I think, about six 8-foot tables a 10-foot Snooker. No alcohol just vending machines. Lots of families and every table was being used. Brought a smile to my face!

    Curious ... 8-Foot Diamonds

I previously had 12 7-foot and 2 8-foot Valleys. I now have 13 7-foot and one 8-foot Diamonds. I had a guy drive up from Birmingham area just to play on an 8-foot Diamond which got me thinking about how many 8-foot commercial Diamonds are out there. BTW, the 8-foot is a challenge table by the...

    Diamond smart tables

Last year my cost for 17 7-foot tournament used Smart Tables with new light was $4,500 from Diamond (7-foot light lists at $400). Shipping and set-up was a few grand extra. I tired to find cheaper but was beat out twice by local buyers at the POS. Once I had a plane ticket to Houston to buy 16...
