FYI, DIAMOND drove down from Indiana and fixed it with a new "box" that the cue ball is kicked into. Took less than 10 minutes.

Answer thanks to Glen OK, here it is. The factory put a 7-foot return in an 8-foot table ergo the gap. It works 99 times out of a 100 but when it jams its jams real good. That's how an object ball "jumped the curb" and wound up in the bottom of the table like a Valley. Must have been Friday...

Saw that but that table doesn't jam the cue ball.

The table I'm talking about is a brand new 8-footer (almost a year now). Balls will occasionally get jammed up in a pile against the cue ball just past the sensor. Its as if the solenoid is not kicking the cue ball out fast enough and it locks up in a space between the chute to the cue ball...

I got standard ridgebacks for an 8-foot Valley I used to have in my pool hall. The advantage is the "ridge" of wood along the "back" of the rail and new rubber so it will play better. Thinking about shipping my Medalist rails over to Mark for conversion (extension) to Gold Crown specs and new Super Speeds next recover.

The Diamond guys installed 14 spots March 1st 2015. They've held up except for the very high play 8-footer which I replaced with a left over championship spot. Another table has the Simonis spot edges just starting to curl and I will replace this weekend. Stay tuned.

Has any owner here used Diamond to recover their tables? Was it worth the extra?

I'm not a mechanic but my 2¢ worth ... I personally hate plywood bathtubs with fancy legs trying to look like an 100 year old antique. I had one for a couple of years till I got my Medalist. There are a lot of nice 8 foot older Brunswicks looking for a nice home. Just Sayin'

I don't have to have Simonis spots but Diamond wants $2 each and Pool Dawg wants 95¢. I replace spots a lot so I'll probably order plain spots from Cue & Case, 100 ~$7.00. Is there a source for Simonis spots I haven't found?
