    Bumperless Tascarellas are built pretty tough. You would have to really beat on it to damage it. Not telling you to go and put your best foot forward. Normal use will not damage it.

    Most cue repairman will not turn down a full shaft (13mm) down to what you're looking for all at once. Shaft wood might move(warp). Not worth the headache for them to possibly be blamed for it.
