Just don't do what I did, and forget my case has (had) limits... 1 inch on the shaft might not be a make or break point, but I had a 62" cue that didn't fit in my case. Currently playing cues range from 57" to 59" cue. 6'2".

'Hit' of a cue can not be crappy, too subjective from user to user. I bet he says his cue hits like a dream.
