Four Contributors To The Death Of Pool

I know why the game of pool is strong in Holland, the pool halls are not dark and dingey pick up joints, you have to go to a seperate smoking room to smoke, there is always some music playing, but not obtrusively loud, and there are umpteen local coaches / pros who give lessons. It's a pleasure...

    Jason Shaw / Mosconi Cup

Yep, the hottest player in the world plus the last three world 9 ball champs, plus Daz... Sounds good to me :) Would also be nice to see a fellow Scot in the team when I go to Vegas!

    Who hates slow players?

4 minutes would be like going to the bar, order a beer, go for a piss, then play next shot. I have told people billions of times not to exaggerate!!

He is comparing Wimbledon to the Snooker World Championships I guess... Best players never to win those respective trophies in their respective fields.

    Battling With Ailments

I have just come back from two months out with back / shoulder problems. It still hurts when I am play, but getting slowly better. The killer was that the problems started 2 days before I got my custom made Tascarella that I had waited a couple of years for, gutted is not the word!! 7 weeks on...

Alcohol vs No Alcohol while shooting....

If you don't drink while playing, you are missing out on the most wondrous thing. The "Beeriod" that time (for me anyway) between 3 and 7 pints when you can make any shot :D

used bk3 - what is a fair price?

I think Ron was trolling again, he knew fine well that the 90-95% mentioned in the previous post was about the condition of the cue. $325 IS about 66% of the full retail price.

    Who has gone HAMB here?

By rough calculations, I have hit about 500,000 balls in the last 6 years, previous to that, my pool was more recreational and irregular, I sometimes didn't play for several months at a time, although I did play in a league at university. Must be over the million in my lifetime I guess...

Yeah man, sold the ebony one we talked about a few times and got the coco one back. I prefer this cue to the other one and had always regretted letting it go... Pretty fortunate!
