I've never looked up the stats on either ball but from my experience the Red Circle CB is the best. The measles ball just seems sluggish to me.

I will be taking a lesson from Mark Wilson next Saturday and I was thinking about what questions I should ask him so that I can get the most from the experience. As instructors, what questions do you like to hear students ask?

A dime width is usually fine. But if you are breaking with that cue than you may want to change it a little sooner. I would never risk damage to my ferrule just to gain a little extra life out of my tip.

I'm not sure what you mean by "short" but if I am the better player I prefer longer races. It's been my experience that a longer race is more advantageous to the better player. Typically the longer race will outrun the luck factor. To each their own, no one is forcing you either way.
