Some of the Meucci originals on Ebay are new models that they have brought back out. I can't imagine they hit anywhere as good as the "real" old ones.

If you look closely at the Schon shaft, the threaded collar is encased in plastic. Same with Runde's. I believe it softens the hit a little. I have tried other shafts as well and they seem to "Hit' a little firmer. Now THAT is my 2 cents!!:thumbup:
