    Gold Crown 3 Face Lift

Here is a complete rail rebuild and refinish of a Brunswick Gold Crown 3. This thing has seen some time in a pool room in its previous life, so it needed a full over haul. All the sub rails were replaced as well as new cushions, facings, pockets feather strips and cloth. This is a link to the...

Slate screws in the middle of the slate???

It is not abnormal for someone to add anchor points to the middle of the of the slate, probably had a crown in the slate, or someone just had a hard time matching up the seams and that is how the dealt with it. I would not use wax in the playing field at all, like you said it will dent, or...

    Rack and "kitchen" lines?

Thanks, I will have to go try to find a white one. Have you ever tried the silver sharpie? That seems like it might work pretty well on the blue cloth.

    Rack and "kitchen" lines?

I have never had any problem with normal sharpie makers bleeding on the cloth. Now that being said, you have to be aware of what you are doing, and not stop and start, just a nice fluid motion. I use a 48" straight edge to make the marks, no strings. I measure out the marks using a tape...

Question about Harbor Freight wide crown air stapler

The OLD 1/2 wide crown staple gun accepts DUO-FAST 1/2 crown staples. Gray body smaller frame. This gun is no longer carried at harbor freight. The NEW wide crown staple gun they sell now is silver/gray with red trim and that does NOT accept the DUO-FAST 1/2 crown staples. It does however...

    Valleys, Ridgeback, and 3M10

Using 3M to glue the Simonis on bar table slate is real easy. The cut outs for the pockets are so shallow you hardly have to leave any slack in the cloth. The cloth just wraps around it. Now I have done quite a few of these, so I can say its easy, but if you have never done any Simonis gluing...

Shelf life of 3M adhesive 10?

Be careful of this stuff. I got a 5 gallon bucket of it and stored it in glass jars. I had it less than a year and the stuff was so separated and gooey it was not useable. After talking to the 3M guy when ordering the next bucket, found out there is a born on date that goes along with the serial...

    Getting a table

It really depends on what needs to be done to the table. Is everything onsite, and accounted for (hardware and table parts)? Does the table need new cloth? What kind of cloth? Does the table need rubber? How about damaged sub-rails? Any cracked or broken pieces of slate? Getting your table...

What's the best to use to attach facings?

Its a roll on or brush on contact cement. If you are just doing facings, you can get any type of contact cement. The 3M-10 is hard to find locally most of the time, so you can use the DAP Weld Wood contact cement instead.

    sub rail angle

I would not be surprised if they didn't. Billiards is such a small part of their business, they don't seem to care any more. Why do you think Diamond is in all the Tournaments anymore? Brunswick has other business avenues to continue down. This is what makes Diamond a great company and great...
