    Billiard trivia...

I don't like how snooker players have this condescending attitude towards pool players. Efren Reyes won gold in the first snooker tournament he played in.

The hardest thing to teach lower skill level players

I think it's much easier to teach a player strategic theory than the subconscious natures of stroke, aiming, and speed control. Many pros will tell you they just aim subconsciously. Aiming systems only serve to reinforce the subconscious

Are you having trouble with positioning? Start simple, just place 3 balls on the table run them out. Planning 3 balls ahead is the basic rule of thumb.

    Amazing and Sad story

Reminds me of Luther "Wimpy" Lassiter who died slumped over the pool table. Pool is a game, and pool is life.

    What the heck is "Tracking?"

The original poster said he was playing pool online, the tracking lines were probably like Virtual Pool 3's that tells you the exact path the balls will go. Either that or maybe another term for the tangent line.

    The Filipino Stroke...

If you watch Mika Immonen play, this "bicycle stroke" is extremely apparent. Despite the fact that there's more movement compared to the traditional stroke, it seems to stabilize the cue more.

Can't get my stroke straight. AARf

OHere's a few tips I've learned over the years. Don't think simply about hitting the cueball, the most important factor is how straight the cue pushes THROuGH the cueball. One aspect of stroking many players forget about or totally ignore is timing. Time your stroke so that the cue tip hits...
