MY total concern from this position is 'Control of the CB'! 90% of my attention is focused on that! This is 'My' option: Contacting the 3 ball at least 80% Full having enough speed on the CB to bring it 2 cushions to rest on the 'First diamond on the short rail by my opponent's pocket...

I will give my option if/when others chime in.

The 'Shot Line' can be arrived at in different ways. The '1 rail' off the 1 ball is a little delicate, IMPO. The '2 rail position' lets the player use a little stroke to get some feel. 'I' always like to play the CB for 'Position in the direction the shot provides'! Forward in this case.
