    Unknown "monster" players

Monster players I looked at this yesterday and was surprised to see a number of players from Texas back in the '80s but no mention of Gilbert Martinez. Back in the day, I liked Gilbert in just about any matchup.

Old Seattle Pool Rooms ... who remembers?

The 211 I was in Seattle a couple of weeks ago, first time, the only pool halls I could find were really fern bars for yuppies. One of the room owners here in Colorado Springs, Jim Barber, has a lot of stuff from the 211. There are still some house cues marked with the 211 club in his room...

    Nicest Cuemakers

Nicest Cuemaker Without a doubt Skip Weston! A very underrated cumaker, and a great guy. I'm proud to call him not only my favorite cuemaker, but also, a friend. Running a close second would be Jerry Franklin, god rest his soul, a very nice man, showed me around his shop and was very open...

    The Glenn Family

Pete Glenn I spent some time with Pete Glenn two or three years ago when he was around Colorado Springs for a while. Very much the gentleman and still played a very good game of one pocket. He bought a very nice Szamboti from a friend of mine. He had a trunk full of cues with him, but, we...

    shaft cleaner

Shaft cleaner I use a water based, wood floor cleaner, called "Bona". I bought it in a grocery store. It's cheap, and works great. Just spray on a clean white cloth and rub the shaft then use the other end of the cloth to burnish. It doesn't raise the grain. I use it after every time I...

    ID: Ron Thomas case

Thomas Case It's Ron thomas. I had a 2 X 4 back in the late 80's early 90's with the same latch and logo, but it was a ostrich print. Great case made by a very nice guy.

    slight warp on new cue..

Warped cue True Jay. It's like everything else, you get what you pay for. $200 - 300 is pretty much the minimum if you want something decent. I'd look for a custom sneaky pete from a reputable custom cuemaker.

    Bludworth SP, what's it worth

Blud Sneaky I agree with Purdman, I had one back in the early nineties and think I paid about $200. They were a good hitting cue. Don't know about Blud's plans, they could change as the wind blows.
