I am fairly sure that the type of balls used will depend more on sponsorship than anything else, the same as any other major tournament.

Kevin, that rule was changed much more than 2 years ago. Like many others, I never thought it was legal until Dale Dove told me about it and he hasn't been in the league for much more than 2 years. It's legal in the APA. I don't think it is legal in the BCA. I don't know if its legal in TAP...

The WPBA pays a large part of the production costs for putting their tournament finals on TV. The men don't have any real organization and they aren't willing to spend any money to put their tournaments on TV. The bottom line is, the men aren't willing to do much to promote pool. They just want...

There are a handful of players I would love to see win this event but I have to be realistic about it. Although he is not one my favorites, B.J. Ussery is going to be really tough from here on out.

Word on the street was correct. It was a great event, as usual. I also heard that the entire field cheered when they realized that Black-Balled didn't sign up and they could actually play for first place instead of second.

Scott, I don't know if they are still getting paid or not. You'd have to check with the players. However, they are learning that being a promoter isn't as easy as they thought. Stuff happens!
