    Anybody tried this ball set

Not worth it. Armaith Premium is the start of the "good" sets, at about $200. Almost as good as their Pro and Tournament sets for less. Any set of Dynaspheres is also good. Considering a good set will last for many years, not worth cheapening out on them and just settle.

    New Pool Player Observations.

Some of the things you are asking about are from playing with non-players or "bar bangers". Both 9 and 10 are for that. They do not know any rules past what some guy showed them years ago and that guy was also clueless. To them, pool is just random smacking of balls around till something goes...

Have you tried cues “Black Blade” “Liquid Weight” — cues that use a movable-weight system?

I used the first version of the liquid weight cue, it had a very interesting but not what I would call a bad hit. Actually enjoyed playing with it but decided not to buy one even though it was not expensive at all.

    Break cue/jump cue forfeit?

Not the same thing at all, it's just a pretty silly argument and bad example. No one jumps with a shaft now, decades ago yes, not since they put in some better rules. Never seen a shaft jump outside of some random pool halls, if there was a pro tournament where anyone jumped with a shaft I...

    Break cue/jump cue forfeit?

No, it does not. The cue is designed to come apart for that during a game.

Practice 8 or 9 more often

I practice almost always rotation games, so 9 or 10 ball mostly. A lot more ball movement and position play needed there vs 8 ball where you can have several options if you goof up shape. But "practice" is usually a set of a few shots for 20/30 tries per shot vs games.

    Using More Centerball

Very little. Most shots I hit with a bit of low and vary the speed of the hit vs adjust my tip position.

In bar table eight ball, do you deliberately miss shots?

This is really only for higher level players and rules. No "bar" player would know this is a rule, nor does it apply to non-called shot rules like APA. It is a nice strategy to use if available.

Please help me identify my Cue

Nice looking cue, with a Limb Saver on it LOL That thing is so rare to see, I think it's the second time since it came out I have seen it on a cue. Older 314 also, with that shaft, should be a $300 value easy.

    Predator Aspire vs. Mezz Axi

I don't have a preference, but I have a new Aspire I would sell for $320 including shipping if it's to the US :) I think it's the 1-4 model with black linen wrap and a dusty rose color. It has a solid hit, firm, shot with it maybe 10 shots to see how it was.

In bar table eight ball, do you deliberately miss shots?

It's called playing safe. How/when depends on who I am playing. Of course a lot of bar bangers don't know how to deal with or like someone not trying to make every single shot they are facing, but many of them do it anyway just with a comment of "oops I tried soooo haaard to make that ball but...

    12 team tournament bracket question

Just do a 16 bracket and do random buys in the thing, simple and no need for a special chart.

Why different shaft diameters for different games?

This was asked before I think, maybe not here. Many Chinese 8 ball players grew up with snooker or UK 8 ball where they use the thinner shafts, so the smaller shaft diameter in that game is 90% likely simply from player preference rather than some technical "better" shaft size for the game. A...

ANYONE HAVE A LINK TO APA OR BCAPL RULES IN SPANISH ????

Those are the APA rules, many leagues have the 8 on the break is a win rule also. I though hitting only the first 2 balls was a rule in all rule sets.

    Best cue under $1000

Many used customs can be had for $1,000. I would very likely get a one off rather than a more production cue. That market is dozens of good names in the designs and makers. Any of the "good" names are good enough to keep forever, the trick is making a decision, but that is no different than...

Items taken to the pool hall getting weird.

I have seen a guy bring in a bucket with a cone of hand powder in it. A rack and balls is fairly normal if places don't take care of their equipment. I have been in quite a few so-called "pool halls" where the ball sets were mixed up of 2 or even 3 different sets, were chipped, dirty, etc..

    league play

The only reason I play in league is because people I like play in league or run it LOL My son runs an in-house league, we have taught pretty much every player that is in that league creating a lot of PLAYERS from bangers, I play there 3 nights but 80% of my goal is to help the other players...

    10 Ball Pool Rules

There are several Accu-Stats videos using that rule, I think it is basically the same as the strict 10 ball rules of called shot/called safe where if you miss a called shot you can be forced to shoot again.

    10 Ball Pool Rules

It's to prevent crap safeties in the same way called shot prevents crap made balls. Not a big fan of that either but I can see the appeal of that rule. If you think about it, why should an accidental safe be any better to do than an accidental made ball like in APA? I am 50/50 on that rule...

Am I on a FargoRate island in Mississippi?

Seems like Fargo even in a fairly isolated area (although 60 is a decently large group), is still correct when brought out to the rest of the country for comparison. Now if you had like 4 players, that would be a different story. Out of maybe 20 people there should be enough variance in skill...
