    What pin is this

It's a 3/8-10 migliore pin. The threads on the top end of the pin have been machined away. The cue looks like it really needs some TLC. Royce

    Slippery Irish linen wrap

Bogey Go to the grocery store and buy some wax paper. Take about 2 feet of it and fold it up to a smaller size, about the size of a wash cloth, and vigorously rub the wrap down with it. The idea is to create some heat and transfer some of the wax to the wrap. It should make it a little...

    Pin size question?

Really? The Radial is no more bastard than a 3/8-10 or 5/16-14. Royce

    Pin size question?

Well, then I would have to question if they were Radial joint protectors. I've seen plastic sets where the the female would fit either the Radial or 3/8-10, but the males would not. Make sure you have an actual Radial set and they should fit fine. Royce

    Pin size question?

So, are those pics of your cue, or are they pics of another cue? Are they all of the same cue? The first picture looks a little odd, but the others are definitely Radial. What was it about the Radial joint protectors that you have that don't fit? If you're pin is much narrower than the ones...

    Pin size question?

Well, then it's not a Radial. Do you have a picture of it? Does it look like this: http://www.elforyn.de/media/image/shopimg/qradalpin_720x600.png Royce

Question about joint 3/8x10 versus the so called Wavy

asbani The Wavy joint and 3/8-10 pins are not the same. The diameter and pitch could be close, or maybe the same, but the profile is completely different. Gulyassy used an acme 3/8-10 pins on a lot of cues. It's possible that you're local cue repair person has that acme tap and is re-tapping...

    Pin size question?

If it's a Radial pin, then there's only 1. There are some knock off's found in imported cues, but if Schon put it in a cue, I'm sure it was the real thing. I'm not aware of them using any radial pins though, so you might want to make sure it was originally equipped that way. As for joint...

    Why Have It In Casino's?

Johnnyt I think that if you were to call around to venues that have enough space to hold a decent sized event and ask how much it would cost to rent the room that you would be shocked by what you find. You'll most likely not find a place big enough unless it's a large hotel, usually located...

    LTB 6" boring bar

http://www.expresscuttingtools.com/IT.htm He doesn't list it, but he'll most likely make it. Great Tools! You do have to be a little careful. 6" on a thin boring bar is going to flex quite a bit. Even in Carbide. The longest small ones we use are 1.25" long and will make a .230" hole. Royce

    314 Shaft Size

Maximillion The shaft on the left appears to have a custom joint, probably built from a partial. There's nothing wrong with this, and it's very common. You just have to keep it in mind when you're looking at replacement shafts. Joint collars and joint diameters can often be different than what...

BJ I find myself in an unusual place with this thread. I typically don't think that the pro players, as a group, do themselves many favors. As a group, they have the opportunity to create a fan base and an entertainment product that would help them tremendously, but often they don't seem to do...

Celtic When a professional pool player has pool earnings of $150,000, that's not what his personal income is. If he spent $75,000 in related expenses, then his income that would be comparable to the typical employed person whose gross pay is $75,000. I think Darren is one of the very few who...
