    Bartram vs Alcano at Q-Masters

Alcano played Bennett earlier in the week, Bennett getting the call 7 & 9, Bennett won $5K (a railbird told me). Bartram was getting the same weight, race to 35 for $6K, according to a railbird, Alcano was getting the best of this match when I left after 2am.

Poll: Do you use BHE, FHE, parallel english or all 3?

I think that by trying to use BHE or FHE the CB behaves more like I expect and with a better kind of action. This is probably because of the sighting aspect with respect to CTP. I've just started paying attention to my aiming technics and BHE and I am astonished at the paths it has opened up...

    I miss Keith playing...anyone else??

One of the best ever...for sure. I'd love to see Keith and Earl play again, ideally an exhibition. Where they both could talk all they wanted to....THAT would be something to see....and hear. Amen to that brother! None stop CHEEPING

Is there more deflection on hard inside english than hard outside?

Knowing how to use inside or outside english is a hard subject to define orally. Pool is a visual game, some of the best players in the world can't explain what their doing at the table but yet they can produce the most amazing shots. You need to put your stroke on automatic pilot, that is...

    Playing Off the Rail

Just finished my first reading! Great book. I'm from the East and haven't really heard of Tony. He must be a talented player. Would recomend the reading to anyone.

    Cue Stick elevation?

Maybe I'm confusing cb control with accuracy. I've just practiced this and noted that everyone plays with a elevative cue. I would say that 15 degrees of elevation is standard. I think that there is a correlation between your elevation and the way the cueball skids into the object ball, thus...

    Cue Stick elevation?

I have several friends that are very talented with their abilities at the pool table. Without exceptions they all bridge their cues with bridges that are very esthetic. The other comman denominator of these talented players is that they seem to have elevation on their cuestick, maybe no more...

    Fifteen Ball?

I've played rotation fourty years ago with the old guys, this is not rotation or 61. It's not Crazy Eight ball. It's a nine ball type game using same type of rules, the eight ball as the money ball and it gives the shooter the option of two object balls, either high or low and thus greater...

    Fifteen Ball?

There must be dozens of games one can play on the pocket pool table. The standard seems to be nine ball, texas express, three fouls. The game seems to favor the more skilled player of the safety and the break. Being the visionary I am, (IMOM), I thought why don't they play a game with...

    The Skinning Game

Sounds good. Instead of playing safety, can you pocket the object ball and win the game?

In a handicap tourney what strategies to use on a low ranked player?

Played in sad tourny, KK9 should have mentioned that his opponent was a girl, he may have missled the forum by saying "What would you do say if he did so in so?" Just wanted to clear the air. ;)

    Learn to win?

If you play pool to win you're playing for the wrong reason. You are asorbed with all the distractions that come with play. While they need to be addressed and put in their place your main task is to play the game as you find it. You need to learn "the art of painting on green canvas". I...

Why do I often play much worse in ring games?

I too was in said ring game. Having just read Koolkat's thread on his inabilities at ring games. The major factor in a five way ring is WHO YOU FOLLOW! :( I did not have the good luck to follow anything but sh*twagons all afternoon. I think Koolkat will admit he followed a tooth ferry...

    Getting out of the way.

I appreciate the info, some good stuff! I didn't just start playing pool last night. I consider myself as a pretty talented player, IMO. Most of these suggestions have been heard and practiced. I just can't seem to make any progress when it comes to the same old limitations that I unwittenly...

    Getting out of the way.

How does one "get out of their own way" to let the magic happen? I think we are all limited by factors of self dought and intemidation that limits us from reaching our maximum potential. Are their mental tricks you can play on your brain to overcome your handicaps?

    Finger Extentions

I've read Running the Table, I don't recall seeing any finger dudades. I lent the book out to Koolkat 9 Lives, he apparently misplaced it so I can't look it up in the book.

Apparently Earl's finger extentions were short lived. I can't believe no one can come up with a Utube or pic.
