Freddy Bentivegna also does this shot on his DVD. I was able to do it with the ball partially blocking the bank line about an eighth of a ball. John has a straight back on his DVD where you can see the curve even without slow motion. It was a 5 ball if I recall correctly.

You can see it on the straight backs on your DVD. I was surprised. I went to the pool hall and setup the cross side with a ball blocking the bank line and I was able to make it after only a couple of tries.
