Well I managed to get this thing wrapped up

I got mine wired up, When you say quiet, you mean it!!!! I still don't have my collets yet so I can't use it. I chucked up a 1/8 rod and I didn't even put my dial on it, looked like a 1/4" or so of runout :( I'm hoping its just a cheap bad collet that came with this thing, but I kinda doubt it...

Ok Bob Now you have to offer a spindle clean up service! I'll be first in line to send you mine :)

I haven't tried mine yet, But that makes sense. I have commercial water softeners that operate the same way.

I never had a problem wrapping under power. This video was actually the first wrap I did when I got my new deluxe. I wasn't used to the delay from when I hit the pedal to when the lathe actually started turning. I am used to it now though!

I did make one, stupid me I used my least favorite template and it has rounded edges, So it doesn't fit perfectly in the wrap channel. Maybe I Shoukd make a bunch and sell them?

I haven't done anything to the handle yet except remove the wrap. Waiting for my west to set up before I cut down the new plug to tenon size and tap for new connecting screw. Then I'll clean up the handle and blammo, Ready for clean up, maybe refinish, maybe not :)
