Pretty easy to fix. Cut the extra wood away from the pin and then heat with torch to break glue loose. After pulling old pin out core the forearm for new tendon. If the pin broke off in the handle just cut it back to where you can heat the pin and get it out. Core the handle 2.5 to 3inches the same size as the tendon for the forearm and make a tendon to fit both. I would use a short aluminum pin to bolt the tendon into the handle. Glue the new tendon onto the old handle and use a piece of phenolic to make up any distance lost from old handle over the tendon and put back together as you would any cue you build.

Clean up wrap groove and wrap. Should not need refinish.

Pretty much Alex.
The only problem I see is getting the pin out of the forearm.
It's broken off inside the pocket :(

Oops
Already forgot where it was tough
Shouldn't be a massive problem

From the picture it looks as if you have some wood and some screw sticking out of the forearm about 1/4 to 1/2 an inch? Just turn the wood off the bolt and then heat the bolt with torch. I have had to drill some bolts out before and have used 3/16 bit to drill into bolt. After drilling in to the bolt about an inch you and release the drill bit from the drill and then use torch to heat the drill bit which in turn will heat the bolt and not get too close to the forearm. Sometimes the heat of drilling will also break loose the glue from the bolt so you can remove.

Center drill the broken pin and then with a 1/4" drill drill about an inch deep. Now take a cheap drill bit the next size larger and drill about a half inch into the hole. Now remove the drill bit from the tailstock and reverse it so the shank of the bit enters the drilled hole in the pin. Now with the tailstock loose on the bed, put the lathe in reverse and with your hand push on the tailstock forcing it forward. When the drill bit gets red hot, release the pressure on the back of the tailstock. In so doing the glue will have gotten hot and released it's hold and the drill bit and pin will cool and friction weld the two together. Since the lathe is running in reverse and the tailstock is loose, the drill and pin will unscrew out of the hole.

This sounds time consuming but actually only takes about 5 min.

Obviously, the screw is aluminum. SS wouldn't have broke.
Drill the screw out from both parts. No heat required.
Rebuild the 'A' jnt and put it back together.
Don't accept a repair job you've never done before.
If it's a dumpster cue, do anything you want with it.
If it's a client's cue, it's not yours to experiment with.

Looks like someone tried to stand on the cue with it supported on both ends like Joe Barringer does in one of his videos

Darcy......

Here is a pic of a Meucci I sent to Ryan for a refinish. When it left my hands, it was as straight as can be, but as you can see in the pic...... that is how the post office gave it to Ryan, lol. I got it back straight as can be, if I had never seen the pic, I wouldn't have known it happened. He did a jam up job fixing it.

I haven't done anything to the handle yet except remove the wrap.

Waiting for my west to set up before I cut down the new plug to tenon size and tap for new connecting screw.

Then I'll clean up the handle and blammo,

Ready for clean up, maybe refinish, maybe not :)
