    Ideal balance in stance

Is there an ideal balance. For example: .. forward weighted-bridge hand is/feels heavy into the cloth? ...neutral weighted, evenly balanced on front and rear legs? ....rear weighted, 'sitting on rear hip/leg?? Matter? why? Vary with shot/stroke type? ...any balance method aid in staying...

Why are pro pool player so afraid to gamble?

Probably a good call by Efren /his backer. Efren might have been winded. Played two big sets on the last day. Wasn't Scott done the day before? Wasn't Scott in the booth the last day, got to watch Efren shoot at wrong pocket. Timing is crucial to making a good game. If memory serves...

Backcuts: Why are they any different?

They are a visually discordant shot for me. Often, the cut is a very thin cut..approaching 80 degrees or more .. often requiring more speed than is comfortable for me. That increased speed may be part of my accuracy trouble. Also, I have trouble with these if cb is very close to...

    Need a Book Suggestion

Bingo Bongo Bert Bert Kinister has a couple of speed control drills. Start with a spread of say 8 balls along the head string evenly spaced. Starting at one side, using each ball as a cb, stroke each ball progressively further toward the foot rail. If not successful...start over. If...

    Another goofy question/crossover kicking

Chuck, Victor, and Larry Finally, I see that now thanks to Larry's patient explanation. I'm pretty dense at times. (My ex already knows that) Thanks Larry for your time. take care

    Another goofy question/crossover kicking

Yes that is a helpful method for shallow angle rail first 'kick's to the adjoining pocket. But that is not what I'm talking about. I added pictures that depict acute angle kicks to opposite side, or corner pockets where cb stops dead, or slides down the backside tangent line. Clearly unclear...

    Have to ask this question.

Hey John... thanks for responding so clearly and quickly...I like your 'underhand roll' feeling imagery ...while hitting above center....that helps. I feel ya, man..... Hey Mike...nice to hear from you...I like how you keep changing things up, experimenting and such....that tool box...

    Have to ask this question.

Is there a slight drop of the cue where gripped, just before cb contact, to create or maintain a level or slightly upward angled strike of the ball? A slight 'hammering' wrist flex action as they/you come through the ball? Where you can feel the cue's handle creating a slight pressure on the...

    Funny pic/gif thread...

Nice save. ...could have been a 'what's the plan, Stan? kind of thing. ...saved alot of splainin' to a customer. ..helpful that it was a convertible:) side note: my Dad had a 4 bay auto repair shop. One night it burned to the ground in a rainstorm with 2 cars inside. Pretty much melted...

    TAR is not dead.

Imma thinkin....good thing you two live far apart. Bail money could become stout. But, if it gets filmed...a little preemptive crowdfunding for bonding out could take off. Like you two need the encouragement...have fun.

    Efren Reyes' playing cue

Maybe someone who knows...JoeyinCali??? will respond. My current guess is it might be an 'Efren Reyes' cue...possibly by Mezz..IIRC correctly, Joey may have commented on this previously. He used to play with various Judd's, but he may have returned the most recent Judd a couple years ago...

Efren vs Shane shot from game

That's what it looked like to me. I think Shanes ball favored the short rail point. Rail first on long rail, bump off point, reposition along long rail close to pocket, carom off SVB, make Efrens's hanger, bank last ball....another miracle...almost. That would have sold some DVD's.
