    Good Bye Old Friend

They certainly do. Over those years, Meucci shafts have gone through a great deal of change as they went from no-dot, to black-dot, and red-dot and finally to CF, and now to Kielwood. The basic evolution is taper and deflection. The 1980's shafts, which I had several of, had a ton of...

    Good Bye Old Friend

I got into the game in the mid-80's and stretched really hard to buy a Meucci. I played with it, and was able to make some money with it when I was in college to help me eat and pay bills. That cue stayed in a case, unused, for nearly 30 years. I retired recently and decided to start...

    60” playing cues

Lately, it seems that most of the builds I'm doing are 30/30. People like the extra inch on the shaft and the taller folks like the 60" overall. Since I've been spending more time on 9' tables, folks seem to like the 60" cue because it eliminates the need for bridges on the shots where you...

    Need 3/8 14 Pin

Atlas has stainless steel 3/8-14 threaded rod. With a little light machining, perhaps you could fashion a pin from that?

    Cloth color

I don't have any issues with my table getting dirty and faster than any other. Strangely, I use Taom V10 which is green, on my Tournament Blue table and have zero issues with chalk. In fact, I might make the case that having a different color chalk than the cloth is actually a benefit. When...

    Cloth color

I like my 860HR TB enough, and had to wait to get it, that I keep an extra set of clothing in my basement, just in case.

    Cloth color

Part of what I liked about the Grey was the contrast of ALL of the balls to the cloth making to colors jump out a bit easier (old eyes here). I liked that part a lot. Part of what I DIDN'T like about the Grey was the depth of the shadows. The TB seems to show less severe of a shadow than the...

What model Olhausen? How do they play?

I struggled a lot with my Ohausen. Cloth kept getting cuts at the pockets, had to replace it after 6 months. Pockets fell apart twice, had to be replaced. After 1-1/2 years, the pockets are falling apart, again, and the cloth is tearing at the pockets. I enjoyed the table but two hours a...

    Cloth color

I liked the grey on mine but when it was time to change, I wanted 860HR and the only choices at that time were TB or TG. I ended up buying a new table and decided to stick with the TB. The Grey table below is mine, the blue is a bar shot.

How big a challenge to add ball return to a drop pocket table?

Nope, sold that table and bought a 9' Diamond instead.

    Recommended trim router bit

It also saves a lot of time, dust, and router bit wear if you knock off the corners of the square with a band saw or table saw, effectively turning the square into an octagon, before you start with the router. Just my two cents.
