Was there a pool player called "The Wasp"?

If he's for real I would think he would have tried to make that nickname die off as quickly as possible.

    Good Practice Drills?

I spent several months shooting nothing but straight in shots to fix my game, and still go back to it daily. I can't agree enough with that! Shoot a few hundred straight in stop shots and you're almost guaranteed to get in the zone.

    Rotation high run

If a top pro only runs out a 9 ball rack 1 in 3, the runout percent for 15 ball rotation is probably 1 in 6 or 7

    Drugs to shoot better

ok, it's official, we need someone to conduct a scientific experiment testing all the drugs and their effect on pool performance. The volunteer needs to record it all with a camera and blog about it. They can multitask by setting a new world record for both time awake and days playing pool...

For those of you that remember the 80's...

the power of perception. I always thought weight was just a way to give an average player the idea he had a chance, when in reality he was still going to lose 89.587% of the time. May the myth of the "equal playing field" continue!

    A favorite, predictable double kiss?

no, doesn't need to be, but the second ball being there makes it look like the cue ball has to collide with it, which surprises people when it doesn't get touched. lol

    A favorite, predictable double kiss?

someone showed me the shot and I thought it was one of the coolest I ever saw. Another double kiss I invented is the one at 1:47 on this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=scnCt6hQpcc I've found a lot of double kisses to use in one pocket, some of my favorite shots. ps: Mr. Jewett, thank...

    A favorite, predictable double kiss?

my favorite trick shot involves double kissing the nine in the side without moving or touching the eight which is frozen to it. you can make it very consistently. http://CueTable.com/P/?@3HbHk3IbHU4PIpY3dbHU4dYpI4dYxH@ If you want to see it I shoot it at 1:50 in this video...

    Drugs to shoot better

I won 12 tournaments in a row after my doctor prescribed me hydrocodone. then I found that jumping up and down and twirling my cue around while Queen's "We will rock you" is playing before each match works too.

What If Fundamentals Aren't That Important After All?

what a genius idea! there are so many myths about not only the game but learning in general. the OP's argument is absolutely correct. so many people get well intentioned coaches who are trying to force them into staring at a certain spot, have an arm just right and so on and the player ends up...

Earl's comments about fans and the game.

I thought about why doesn't he change it to 10 ball also at first BUT it is the US open NINE ball tournament. The tradition loses its value if the game were changed considerably. Adding another ball changes the essence of the game, small rule changes are ok, but not that big a change. And I'm...

    How good was Keith McCready?

I got to play Keith about 12 years ago. he spotted me the 5 and the breaks for $40 a game. then let me get 10 games up on him, asked if I wanted to play for $100 a game. I said no, with a feeling that I was being hustled and after that he brought out the real stuff. slow long spin shots that had...
