Ken,I agree ordinarily but heres the situation;I have a shaft with the ringwork i want that is unusable now and an older tight growth shaft with different ringwork.Just trying to give the old shaft another life.Mike S.

Can the shaft collars(i think thats the term,where the ringwork is) be removed from one shaft and put on another(which will have to have its collar removed) or is it better to just have a new shaft made.Both are 5/16-14 with brass insert.Thanks,Mike Sellers
