How about you just send me a message. I really don’t know which of the many friend requests it is. None seem to match your description. KMRUNOUT (Kerry McAuliffe) Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    measles ball origin

I think most would agree that though they may be the same resin, size, and weight, they *feel* different. To me the measle ball feels like it is heavier, even though it isn't. I actually prefer the measle ball. I think its good for spectators as well. Matched up with Aramith Super Pros or...

Who Should Be Selected to the 2019 USA Mosconi Cup Team?

SJM yes hitting 'em ok haha. I also do not expect to be at Turning Stone since I'm going to Vegas that same month. I definitely will be at the Ocean State though! Always enjoy pool talk with you. See you soon. KMRUNOUT

Who Should Be Selected to the 2019 USA Mosconi Cup Team?

Well said sir. I’m sure you’d agree that the DCC was a huge jump up for Sky, besting one of the finest fields I’ve seen in years. And agree, Tyler stepped up when it counts. Plus he seems like a good guy. That can’t hurt in a team context. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards...

How many here are big fans of 8 Ball Pool?

I love 8 ball as well. I agree take what you make is the way to go. Puts a premium on a good controlled break. Personally, I think bar box 8 ball is a fantastic game. Very complex with lots of strategy and specialty shots. That's probably deep down my very favorite pool game. KMRUNOUT

Who Should Be Selected to the 2019 USA Mosconi Cup Team?

Having played APA Masters for over a decade, I can confidently say that team chemistry is a huge factor in overall performance. I'm nowhere near the best player in that event, nor were my teammates. Well ok, my one friend that had been teamed up with me every time for a decade was pretty damn...

    Any rooms in downtown Boston

Best bet is Amazin Billiards in Malden. You can get pretty close to it on the orange line. 10 9’ GC IV’s in great shape, 4 nice 3C tables, and now a 6x12 Snooker table. The owner, Mazin Shooni, is a world class 3c player. Hope it helps, KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Duramith balls

I’ve played with those balls at Turning Stone. They play excellent. I’d say very similar to the Super Aramith. Maybe a tiny bit “harder” feeling. Also I slightly prefer the looks. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

What % of players can run 100+ in straight pool

5 or 10 % is nuts. We’re probably talking less than a tenth of 1%. That would be my guess. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    1) Alex 2) Dennis 3) Tony 4) Busty 5) Corey Not too sure but these 5 are as good as any I think. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Strokes and deflection question.

Mike Masse and Jimmy Moore we’re skilled at hitting the ball accurately at its outer limits and with lots of speed. If you hit the ball in the same spot with the same speed, you would get the same draw. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    Strokes and deflection question.

Different types of strokes can alter the angle and point of contact with the cueball. That will certainly alter the deflection. That said, I don’t think you can hit the same spot on the cueball, at the same angle, with the same speed, same bridge length, and get anything but the same amount of...

    Pechauer Rogue Shaft

Agree with your last two statements, completely disagree with your first. A *gram* on the end of your shaft makes a noticeable difference in deflection. So yeah, a ferrule will make a difference, the *I* will be able to notice. Can't speak for what others might notice. KMRUNOUT

    Pechauer Rogue Shaft

Well, one explanation is that I'm wrong. Its always possible that the feel of the shaft makes me subconsciously hit a certain way to minimize deflection, so that it *feels* like low deflection. IDK. Also, testing on a bar table doesn't say too much about deflection either. Interesting...

    Pechauer Rogue Shaft

I tried it at the Expo. I’ve tried all the carbon fiber shafts. I play with a Revo 12.4. The Pechauer felt excellent, and was as low deflection as any of them. Now that said, it can be tough to really get a feel for deflection on a bar table. It seemed as low or lower than the Revo. Hit...

Has a new cue actually helped you play better?

Yes definitely. My current cue make a big impact in my game when I first got it. KMRUNOUT Sent from my iPhone using AzBilliards Forums

    LD vs regular shafts

I believe the squirt is introduced when an impact occurs at a point to the left or right of the center of mass of the object being struck. The component vectors yield a transverse component. I think a square block will also deflect, unless it is somehow prevented from moving or rotating, at...
