    Sound echo's

    Noise: I have taken some insulation, the kind that has paper on one side and the insulation on the other and cut it and layered it under the slate. I filled the void with the insulation and then used a piece of 1" foam board to hold it all in place. It muffles the sound pretty well.

    Protect top rail?

    Rails: I have a friend that does the same thing. He uses a piece of extra bed cloth to lay over the rail and then another to go under the break ball.

    The post by Dartman showing how Glen does it is very usefull. He says to have 7/8 to be able to have the slack to do the side pockets on a table that has a long pocket shelf. On a table that does not have a long pocket shelf what would be the amount to leave for the side pockets?
