During an interview I heard Johnny say something about the crowd being offensive to his wife. He handled it well by saying he did not think they really meant by it and just made him play harder. Did anyone else see the interview, I got in just as he made the respond.
Passed out the fliers at the Winniewood this weekend and a lot of players said they would make it. Better get your name on the list. Some have signed up a Starlite so I don't have their names down yet.
$40 is high for a green fee! Figure if a game goes hill/hill at $1 a game and split quarters you pay $5.50 first round. So a player will have to make it to the 7th round at hill/hill every match to make the green fee back. So the ones that go 2 and out loose $29.50. Based on 64 man field thats...
If your learning to play and can play a better player that offers that spot, jump on it. Watch and learn, don't let your eye roam around the room. Watch how he cues the ball and every movement, this is how you learn. Plus the $1 bet will give you the will to win and not just hit the balls...

My problem would be that the owner allowed this! What happened to the "No Shoes, No Service". If they serve food it would be a code violation and what if they stepped on something and sue him.

Don't over look John Gabriel (BCA Masters Division Champion), plays very well! Their was a lot of good players in the 80's James Walden, David Mattlock, Jeff Melton, John Guffy, Gary (Driller) Drennin, Fat Randy, and Gary Cey just to name a few.
