Even as the snow flies, Hank still wants a buck-a-bottle for water!

I think the sign out front is missing a letter or two. If Hank had any extra money he probably would've taken care of it years ago. According to industry sources, bottled water sales are $60 billion dollars per year. So, why shouldn't Hank make a buck or two? And what about all the lock...

    Custom Pool Room

Nice looking project! Looks like Austin is pretty accomodating with regard to set backs and total building footprint on the lot. BTW, What is the secret to doing wainscoting for next to nothing?

    "Diamondized" GC III

Did the customer have a "Bronze" GC but put different corners (pocket castings) on it? I am also curious as to how much trouble it is to get those same castings to lay down flat and even with the top of the rails?

    "Diamondized" GC III

Pretty to watch the slideshow and to see the workmanship involved in the conversion. Probably a dumb question, but with that level of attention to detail, does the type and/or amount of glue used affect your measurements? Again, great pics! .

    The gambling "lingo"

Dark meat = All solid colored balls that are dark (2,4,6,7,8), when used in an attempt to psych out your opponent or gain some type of advantage. For example (14.1): the 13 ball (a nice, bright ball) is in the rack and you put the 8 on the head spot. Or (1 pocket): you rack all the dark meat...

    The gambling "lingo"

That nit air barreled me and stuck me with the time. You're a lock artist. You're a no bet nit! He's rackin' the dark meat on the wing. On the pop. I'll play the miracle Z in the corner. He's the dog catcher. Break out the George Forman. Barbeque anyone? Where did you drain the rock...

    Could a Robot Pool arm/machine

LOL While it may be interesting to discus a robotic player, I think you're missing a much more interesting application for the technology.... If you had 2 robots that could accurately set up a table, you would then be able to: ***Play any opponent anywhere in the world in real time.***...

    "House rules" What are yours?

What are some of your "house rules"? I like to change some of the rules in order to target areas of my game that I want to improve. Bank Pool -- 2 points on 2 rail banks. All other banks are 1 point. Bottle Pool -- No straight in shots. All banks must be called. If bottle is tipped over...

    My GC-1 Has Been Cobrasized ! ! !

Glen arrived as a table mechanic and left as a good friend. Amen to that, brother. Every one of us that has an RKC table has a similar story to tell. We tend to leave out many the details just because some of them are too unbelieveable. And, I don't know anyone in the pool world that has...

    Gold Crown Vs Diamond

If one buys an old GC without the tight pockets, it can easily cost as much as the table to have the pockets tightened correctly. If I knew I had to get pro cut pockets, I would probably go right to the Diamond.

1963 GCI set up! Lovin' it.

Nice GCI! And congrats on your tight pockets. It certainly takes some time and $$ to do them right. BTW, The early GC's make me think of Action Billiards in Madison, WI. Do you remember the matching cue racks and chairs that Brunswick made during that era? All cool stuff....
