Pete Tascarella will not authenticate a shaft in writing, but he may look at it and verbally say it probably is or isn't a Balabushka. Now what you need to do is get a Tascarella cue, as this shaft will fit and the ring work will match.

I like the old yellow mircarta ferrules. They play slightly softer than ivory and feel very lively. Mine has stayed very clean like ivory, not showing chalk stains.

I have a perfect one in mint condition, hits unbelievably good. I would be willing to sell for a reasonable price as I just bought too many cues lately. PM me your email or call me... Brian
