You Ask "Who Makes The Best Bushka Tribute?"

I am really sick of reading this from people who for whatever reason just don't know. There were Bushka collectors before the movie. Did the movie help, the movie helped ALL cues, but Bushka's and Szambotis were ridiculously priced in the late 70's and early 80's and the movie didn't have a damn thing to do with it. People who waited for Gus' cues could instantly sell them for 3 or 4 times what they paid Gus, in fact I'll argue that flipping took place way before 1986. I saw a Bushka for sale in NY for 1200 in 1981 and thought that they must be joking, until someone took the time to explain to a kid about George.

wouldnt know, im not old. I only know from what ive been told. you're probably right, you were there, I wasn't.

I dont want to argue with someone who flips cues professionally. I know george made wooden toys or something, than went on to make wooden toys for adults. is that right??

Let's stick to the topic... If you have something to say about Buska tributes then voice it. If you want to start a war with a very respected, earned by the way, and knowledgeable people on AZ then start a new thread... Thank you.

I love Pete's cues, especially Bushka tributes.

Bushka Tributes

I think Tasc and Rauenzahn both make excellent Bushka Tributes (Probably other cuemakers also). Below is a Rauenzahn Tribute (Same model as the Tasc) and another Rauenzahn Lisciotti Bushka Tribute.

It all comes down to personal preference and budget, If you are going to resell it the Tasc probably makes more sense as the resale value will be higher. If you plan on keeping it I think the Rauenzahn makes more sense as his Bushka which is the same as the Tasc costs in the $2K+ range and the Used Tasc you bought was most likely $7K!

Tim...the cue is STELLAR!! Quite honestly, if I were going to have Bushka Tribute built, Pete would be the man, because I know the history there. You have a very nice set of cues there, and I LOVE the Bushka Tribute...just as classic as you can get, without it being the real thing. Congrats to you!!

For the uneducated....'classiccues' and 'cueaddicts', along with "bamacues', are long-established, well-respected DEALERS...not professional flippers. They maintain websites, and do not depend on AZB to drive their sales...unlike flippers, who invest as little as possible, and use the free space of AZB to make their sales. The buy booths at the cue shows, and stand behind what they sell. Please do not confuse the two. I trust these dealers implicitly, and would have no issues dealing with them...I cannot say the same with the multitude of flippers that have polluted the W/FS section of AZB. They also KNOW what they're talking about. the wisdom they have imparted here in the past, has made me a more knowledgeable purchaser in the cue market.

Just wanted to get that out there.

Tim was gracious enough to share his newest 'baby' with us, and the thread gets hi-jacked. Not cool. I, for one, do not feel that AZB's growth has benefited the site one iota...far too many here that think they know better than those of us that actually do. Arrogance is not the least bit attractive, and tends to make those who are, look like fools.

There's one cue-maker who has really knocked it our of the park with 3 cues in particular.
Two of these cues are Steve Klein's gorgeous Cameo cue and I heard it might be on sale.....and
the other is his Szamboti style cue with gorgeous peacocks that's also on Classic Cue's website.

Well, anyone care to guess what the 3rd cue might be? It's really in line with this thread and
I should be embarrassed to have forgotten it because it's one of my all time favorites. Mr. Klein
made a amazingly handsome cue that was magnificent in all its splendor as a Balabushka Tribute
cue with amazing ivory/ebony stitch Bushka rings......if I recall correctly, it's Klein's "Texas George Cue".

This cue was the reason I started paying attention to Steve Klein. He just knocked it out of the park
with this design and if anyone owns the cue or has pictures of this cue, please post photos. I know
I'd thoroughly enjoy seeing that cue again as I'm sure lots of other Azers will post after seeing photos.

Rauenzahn is not "the same" as Tasc.

No disrespect to Jerry implied...

Why do you continue to persist?

Why? Because I can.....It's my right to do do........Nuf Sed.

The thread reads......and my post says....get lost!

If anyone have a picture of the Texas George by Steve Klein...please post it.

If I may, this is probably the best post I've ever seen by you.

Not because of the content. But because if I have to read opinions I put no weight behind, I prefer them to be brief and not the usual useless essays you've become known for.
