    How do you improve?

Mosconi's number 1 tip: "Play better players!"

    Stop with the cue pointing!!!!!!!

Doesn't bother me. Play for money, you get past all the little stuff like that in a damn hurry!

Kamui chalk not allowed in some leagues?

I don't think it's cheap to find something you're happy with and stay with it. That's why I've had my Dishaw since I bought it in the mid '90s. I've had other cues I've paid more for, Murray Tucker, Andy Gilbert, Mike Gulyassy, etc. Still have the Dishaw, the others are all gone. I don't...

    Bouncing ball off rails

In my experience, this is an installation problem. I've seen an 8 table room where every table in the place did this. Admittedly, the tables in question were the same kind used for the tournament in The Color of Money and supposedly were just about crap if they weren't set up right.

Kamui chalk not allowed in some leagues?

This^! Never even seen a problem with Master on my table at home or in the room I played in for 25 years. Learn to chalk properly and it won't happen! I've been using Master for over 40 years.

This Makes Me A Little Sad

You said a lot of what I have been thinking lately. I've pretty much given up 9 ball and playing outside of my own home. Just doesn't seem worth the effort any more. I don't think I'll give it up, I decided I had quit the game enough and love it too much to give it up entirely. I post on AZ...

    Rip to San Jose Dick

DAMN Dick!! RIP my friend. Dick said what he meant and meant what he said, which didn't endear him to everyone. But it sure did to a lot of us! Scathing wit and was funny as well. Dick, you'll be missed by many!

    Does anyone know this cue?

My first thought was Paradise but I'm certainly no expert. Does kinda look like a Frye also. And, I have seen that type of screw in the butt, can't remember where, though. Edit: no black paint. LOL!

Who needs a custom made cue?

Joss West, no longer being made, were NEVER production cues.

    Handicapping a match ?

I did something similar in a league I started for people I worked with who liked to play pool but usually in a bar setting. I can't remember for sure now but it seems to me that we worked with some kind of adjusted formula that Bob Jewett came up with and wrote about it Billiards Digest. Or, I...

Who needs a custom made cue?

Need one? Well, no. But WANT one is another story. My first cue was a cheap Adam with a ramin wood shaft. The second was a four point, brass jointed Palmer with 3 veneers on each point and a veneer ring in the butt sleeve. My third was a Joss from what was then known as Joss East, now known...

    What color felt is best?

When I get my Olhausen recovered (in the near future, I hope) I'll probably go with Tournament Blue. Currently has Simonis 860 Green.

Typical of the world we live in today. Sad news.

    Minnesota Fats Collectibles

Keep in mind, Fats did not write well, hence the silver ink stamp which is pretty well known. If the signature is legible it's probably a fake.
