    Help out Bobby Hunter

Bump Sad news. Nicely written post. Besides all the things you mentioned that Bob has done for pool, let's not forget about him helping mentor and develop John Schmidt! That alone makes him special! Will be praying for the Lord to bless him thru this trial.

Who are th Top 5 9-Ball players in the World right now ?

If Alex stayed with pool no telling how many titles he'd win. His heart is divided between poker & pool. He got famous in pool. That's a hint to him if he's peeking in here. :) I came so close to adding SVB in my previous post. I actually went back in and intended to "edit" it to include him...

Who are th Top 5 9-Ball players in the World right now ?

Great list & post Jay. I'd add Po Cheng Kuo and Jung-Lin Chang to the list of best active 9 ballers. Much as I like Souquet & respect what he's accomplished, I think these two are now above him and Orcollo in the pecking order. When Wu returns, I think a lot of mental pressure will be off of...

Some of the nicest cuemakers i have dealt with.

Sherm Adamson is fun to talk with, he did some superb work on my cues and is very fair price wise. Oh yea, he also beat his deadline on returning them and then followed up with a note making sure I received them back and that they were done as I had requested. He ranks an A+ in my opinion.

    Jasmin Ouschan

Good words. My all time favorite women's player was Allison Fisher. "Was" because she's now in 2nd place. Jasmin is my new favorite female player. #3 is Xiaoting Pan. 4 is Jennifer Chen. 5. Monica Webb. As far as I know, Jasmin, Pan & Chen are heterosexual. If they weren't, it would not...

    infamous pool tournament in burlington.ill.

I don't have anything listed about there being a 2nd Burlington tournament. The December 1975 issue of The National Billiards News has a lot of info about this event. I'll peek around in the next day or so to better find out about a 2nd Burlington event.

    infamous pool tournament in burlington.ill.

Fred, The dates it was played was Thursday Oct 30, 1975 to Sunday Nov 2, 1975. It was sponsored by the "World Nine Ball Association" P.O.Box 227 Galesburg, Il 61401. Dick Coffey was the other promoter. I have loads of info on this tournament, so I don't know what other parts would interest...

What matchup you would like to see?

    Playing in pain

Look, you're still fresh out of surgery. You really shouldn't be talking about "die" & "death" just yet! At least wait till they get the tubes out of you! Just saying... Let's give this thread a little "Bump for Band-Aids" until we get some really gory stories of mayhem and...

    Bowling vs. Billiards

No offence taken at all ever! :) I've reached the age (51) where all I can hope for now is to maintain anything I got left in pool! I'm no threat to win the U.S. Open, so don't ever pick me in a calcutta should I someday venture there. I'm just a short-stop in pool. That being said, I can't...

You can't leave us hanging like that Oh do tell! Some of the best and funniest stories ever are about how we mangled ourselves during Evel Knievel-like adventures! If you are ever up to it, please feel free to enlighten us about some of the havoc you caused your body! That would be an...

    Bowling vs. Billiards

Unscientific findings..... I liked bowling a lot, especially when we were kids. The Alpine was a bowling center that had leagues for kids. Me and one of my brothers were on "The Chimps" or "The Zebras" for several years while in grade school. Fun memories.... I bowled about once a month up...
