top eschelon? HUH??
Ginky was a great player. But a top eschelon(tier) player? Meaning what...that you'd put him up there with the likes of Efren, Archer, Strickland, Bustamante,Parica, Buddy Hall, etc?? You're kidding, right?
I'd hesitate to call Earl Strickland an a-hole. Like John McEnroe of tennis, Earl is an incredibly talented player. Perhaps you will not see the likes of Earl for next few decades. And like J. McEnroe, Strickland's antics at the table is resprensible, at times... But away from the table, Earl...
Perhaps Melissa will differ on this issue but imo, the Sardo rack neutralizes the playing field to some degree. Ever witnessed Archer breaking? That is a definite skill, being able to fully hit the head ball and still squat the cue ball. One of many reasons why Archer is the player that he is, I...
Rodney Morris is a great player, no doubt. Seems like a nice guy too... But as far as being in the top 3 (gambling-wise), I don't know about that one. There are a number of guys who would give Rodney a long night. Efren, Archer, Busta, Earl (if he decided to gamble again), and a host of other...
Hello Melissa
Very pleased that you are fighting this dreadful habit. As for me, pack-a-day keeps jitters away when my horse decides to run on 3 legs...on the eight and nine ball, no less. Time to cough up my lungs again, I guess...
I am an idiot for calling Efren a nose-picking peasant? Am I also an idiot for calling Efren the greatest poolplayer in history and a humanitarian? If it makes you any happier, I will say this about Efren. I find nothing offensive about Efren as a person. He is a gentleman and a class act, a...
So someone has called Efren "an old fart" I suppose. Personally, I prefer calling him a nose-picking,uneducated peasant. I also call him the greatest pool player in history. And a humanitarian. The point being that in the greater scheme of things, pool is rather insignificant. Threatening to ban...
You have incorrectly spelled "condor". Please double check. Let's assume that I do wear a white hood and a robe. Short of blatant racial remarks, I still have the right to voice my opinions and views in a public forum. As for my 32 posts thus far, my apologies for not being productive like the...
Hello Melissa
The Sardo Rack proved its worth in one area only, I believe. It eliminated the need for re-racking. In this respect, the Rack was a genuine invention. Having said this,IMO, the Sardo Rack should not be used in any of the tournaments. Reason? 9-ball demands certain skills. Among...
Earl's ability to show up for the "big one" is well documented. Try 5 US Open titles and either 5 or 6 World Championships. There isn't a player alive today who even comes close to matching these records. Setting politics aside for a moment, the man is truely a legend. He deserves more credit.
I didn't realize that uttering the word "crap" repeatedly on national television qualified someone as being "classy". If anything, Allison deserves the label. She is an ultimate professional at the table.
For 25 dollars, you can purchase Bill Incardona's one-pocket video through Accu-Stats. The guy knows a thing or two about one-hole...cheaper than paying up everytime you lose your rock.
Don't care for Jeanette Lee as a person either. Too pretentious for my taste. No need for dramatics,Jeanette. We already know you could play some. Just play.
Hello Melissa
Undefeated on the first day...looks like you might move up another notch or two in the rankings the way you're playing right now. Nice shooting Dragon Lady. San Diego is a nice place to play in on any SUNDAY...
Best all-around? You'd have to give it to Efren. For the cash? Efren again-it's a no-brainer. But the best 9-ball TOURNEY player? Hmmm...tricky. Earl is right up there with US Open and World titles. I haven't seen Wimpy nor Don Willis so I can't comment. Give Buddy 10-20 years and he might get...
Few years ago, Santos was considered B/C player back in the Phillipines. He seems to have improved but still needs weight from Lining. Lining is definitely in the top tier as far as gambling goes. Johhny Archer won't be jumping off an airplane anytime soon to play Lining...
