    Boston

Sad to say, but if you're dependent upon public transportation or taxis, Julians (http://jilliansboston.com/) is the best you can do. Kings (http://kingsbackbay.com/) in the Back Bay area isn't too bad, it has gold crowns in decent shape. It is closer than Julians, but both of them are...

Are Danny D and Albert Einstein related??

I have deep respect for Danny and find him immensely entertaining, but I worship Einstein :D. There was only one Einstein. Steve. <== Thinks it is time to start the Einsteinian religion.

    Ralph Greenleaf -- a rummy?

You may have struck on the pool movie that could get the general public in to watch it. People love true life movies of "naturals" ruining their lives via degeneration.

    Ralph Greenleaf -- a rummy?

He was a drunk, end of story. Interestingly enough Hal Houle, who claimed to have started pool lessons with him, told me during one of his aiming lesson phone calls that Greenleaf was also a junkie. Don't know how valid that statement is.

    Which tip do you prefer?

I'm an SL6, not a particular strong 6 but to strong to be a 5. I indicated SS (assuming you meant Kamui Blacks).

Who's the best TV pool commentator

    I concur with this opinion.

Who's the best TV pool commentator

As JAM implied this road has been walked down many times before, but ... IMO, nobody, absolutely nobody, can touch Bill Incardona.

    SBE 2012 moved

More chairs (preferably comfortable chairs) is a must if he expects old dudes like me (and we're a large part of the crowd) to keep coming.

    SBE 2012 moved

I'm very disappointed in the move. The new place is in the middle of nowhere and from the aerial view in google maps looks like a converted warehouse. The thing that really made SBE work for me was the attached hotel. The lack of an attached hotel makes the event only worth one day of my time...

    ABP boycotts Berhman's event

Do think they don't realize or that they also realize the risk of being misquoted and attacked by keyboard jockeys who have nothing better to do? I personally think any good press they could gain from it would be far outweighed by the grief they would get.

    ABP boycotts Berhman's event

Assuming that is a truism, which I don't necessarily think it is, that isn't an issue until they are treated fairly and honestly.

    APA foul?

    Not in the APA.

    ABP boycotts Berhman's event

Starting their own tour would ruin them. That's like saying the Textile Worker's Union should start their own shirt factory. If they become involved in running a tour then there purpose becomes to have the tour make money instead of protecting the players. They're doing the right thing be a...

How to get back in stroke

I agree. I do the MDs a few times a week anyway, but when out of stroke go back to them daily focusing (don't like what the word "concentrating" implies) on SPF. Additionally a lot of straight shots starting easy and increasing difficulty, always focusing on SPF. Then on to routine cut shots...

Without question my safety play is the weakest part of my game.

    Thoughts on Kumui SS please

I used SS for a while and liked them a lot. More spin? I don't know. I've been trying a medium for the last month or 2 and frankly haven't noticed a lot of difference. The SS did hold chalk better, I could get away with forgetting to chalk on a shot more often with the SS.

    Could another movie be done?

TCOM and especially "The Hustler" weren't successful because they were about pool. Pool was just the medium for presenting a movie about life. You've got to start out with a good plot and a good story line. Pool by itself just isn't enough to draw a big audience and make it worth the movie...

At what point is a tip considered phenolic?

The way I read the rule you posted, whether or not the "sonic" tip is phenolic or not is a moot point. They were just specifically saying no phenolic, but the rule was written in such a manner that ANY non-fibrous material is banned. The description of the "sonic" tip sounds like it is...

    Pool rooms and pimlico!

I've always felt that one of the main cause of the downfall of Pool Halls has been readily available casinos and online gambling. My reasoning is that many pool players were gamblers first and foremost and pool was just the most convenient medium for feeding their "habit". Now they've got a more...
