What was the Worst "Good" Stick You've Hit With ?

I had a cue made where I requested an Ivor-X ferrule/Triangle tip combination, but I just could never get used to it. So, instead of selling the cue, I had both the tip and ferrule changed, shaft slightly retapered, and it played like a totally different cue.

    Most Arrogant Cuemaker???

I thought about it long and hard before I posted that story, not wanting to get into a flame war, but I'll stick to my story. Like I said this was many years ago when you still had your shop in Quitman. Maybe you were just joking when you said that, but it still made me feel as you were...

    Schons!

There was a nice R13 on eBay with blue veneers on eBay like six or seven years ago, but I didn't feel comfortable sending money to Europe. Yes, the R13's don't come up for sale very often, and if they do, they usually have red veneers. The one you have is very nice. Be neat to see Runde make...

    Schons!

I have a friend that has a Schon cue exactly like the R13, but his has cnc'd points. I think he said he bought it in the late 80's. From all my years searching on eBay and pool forums, I've never come across another one. Have you?

PLease help ID Mystery Cue. (56k beware)

You ever consider cutting the linen wrap off to see if maybe the maker signed his name on the handle? Or maybe finding an old canceled check from your dad around that time period? If my memory is right, was this cue posted many years ago on here or RSB in an attempt to find its maker...

    Bewareof This Ebay Seller

Reminds me of a seller on there right now selling the Aramith measles ball for $25 and wanting $14 in shipping. To make matters worse, they are claiming in their ad that these are a bargain at $25 since he has sold them before for $75 each. I just ordered a set of nine pool balls that was DHL...

    FYI AZers possible problems

I'm not trying to start an argument, but maybe some sellers, like on eBay, just don't leave a feedback for a good transaction. I know on eBay it has almost gotten to the point where the seller is waiting on what I leave as feedback, when I feel I should be left positive feedback as soon as they...

    The HolyGrail of cues?

Holy Grail? How about a shaft made from part of the staff Moses used to part the Red Sea:) Seriously, how about an eight point Gus with veneers?

    micarta from Mason

Dick, is that price still good if I need a ferrule for a 4" tenon?:) We talked on the phone years ago, and I still get a chuckle when I recall your story about measuring the micarta block wrong, thus practically giving it away when you sold it. If the micarta ferrules you have are the deep...

BEST cue maker who worked with you every step of the way

Right now, Steve Klein is building a cue for me. Steve frequently sends me pictures to show me how things are progressing. He is pretty quick to reply back to my emails if I have a question, and seems to be someone not afflicted with the dreaded "cuemaker time."

Most Arrogant Cue DEALER? you ever delt with

Thanks for the info. I figured by now he would have some sort of webpage. I used to like going to Chesapeake Cues and Greg Matthew's websites.

Which cuemakers work would be worth the most if...

Yes, I sure do. Doesn't hurt to live a few hours drive from him:) I remember back in the early-mid 90's going to his shop and buying a sneaky pete with wrap for around $350. It just didn't fit right with me, so I sold it a week later for about the same price to a local player. I see now...

Which cuemakers work would be worth the most if...

As much as I like Schick cues, I remember a never-used PJ bocote Schick cue on here last year, which to my knowledge never sold at a price of $1875 delivered. Keep in mind, this cue had a leather wrap, ivory ferrules, and an ivory joint. I bet if that same cue was instead marked as being made...

    IPT Pool Balls

Sent an email to Aramith a few days ago asking if the IPT balls were based on the Premier, Premium, or Super Pros. As of today, I have not heard back. Anyone have any feedback on the Vigma balls?
