I prefer cues with some inlays but a cue with some nice wood would do the trick; I prefer wood like curly maple, ebony, cocobolo. I wouldn't want to pay for than 400-500 for a good cue. I spent about $315 on my Pechauer and I thought that was a pretty fair price for the cue. Plays very well but...

I use the one with the stick and it seems to work. Occasionally I get chalk on my pants but hey... Its bound to get on your cloths when you're playing anyway.
