    Design Contest - fast&loose designs

Reminds me of the projects we had in engineering school. I was tempted to pull out my old laptop, make a couple of designs with SolidWorks. What is the thinnest wall that can be used in constructing with their printer?

    Design Contest - fast&loose designs

well, if you made it top open the sides could be more of a rectangle, and have six pockets. that would look more like a pool table. if the rails were thin enough on top they wouldn't get in the way, and the pockets would make the entire corner open. maybe have both options and let customers...

    Design Contest - fast&loose designs

Thanks, as I said, I like it a bit more classy. The sides would be solid to allow engraving, and to keep your fingers extra clean, and the chalk would be inserted from the bottom, with a snap in plug or hinged piece. That would allow you to keep pushing the chalk towards the top as it wears...

    Design Contest - fast&loose designs

I tried to upload a pic on Tuesday but the post went to review because I do not have many posts. In case it isn't approved in time, I want to describe the holder, and ask that you visit my profile to see the pic that I made of my idea. Basically a pool table motif, with thin rails and hollow...

    Design Contest - fast&loose designs

    interesting question

As I am a really bad golfer, I would say that it is easier to shoot par. :) I have played off and on for years, and at one point was practicing daily and playing nightly for close to a two year stretch. I would play continuous after my practice sessions, and have never gotten to a 50 ball...

    Stolen Cues

I am constantly looking on craigslist and eBay to see what is offered, as a lot of pawn shops eventually list when no one buys pawned cues. I am really good at remembering cue designs and woods, can pick out a lot of various cue makers, and also can get a good sense of when something for sale...

something that will keep a new shaft clean?

are you burnishing the shaft after using the magic eraser? what are you using to wet the magic eraser? I use isopropyl and burnish afterwards, shaft stays clean for months. I don't think a magic eraser is going to thin a shaft, btw.

Coker Cue Cocbola 6 Point / 4 Shafts

If I was in the market.... Have you tried Craigslist? At the price you are at now, it should sell quick in your local market, since people would be able to test hit it. I would see before going any lower, plus you save shipping costs.
